How do I allow html on this site?
All I see is the type and it looks like gibberish.

I think that's a relic of the posts being brought over from the older forums... And the default action in the areas those posts were moved to was to not include HTML.

Dunno what can be done about it, though. I just read through it.

As far as I know you can't. This website Runs by BBcode, which is slightly different in formatting than html, and is ran by codes such as

[ b ] TEXT HERE [/ b] (Without spaces) for bold

[ img ]URL HERE[/ img ] (Without spaces) For images. And So on.

Not sure if I saw it on IRC or on the forum, but I don't think HTML will be turned on, ever.  If I can find the post, I'll link it.

HTML will not be turned on.  There are serious security implications to allowing HTML in an open forum.

I will be creating a script to help translate the existing posts from html to vb code.  It won't catch everything but hopefully we'll get the bulk of them.  Just please have some patience over the next couple weeks with matters regarding the forum.

http://www.layonara.com/layonara-peer-support/113992-bb-code-tutorial.html

I have posted a link that will allow for the translation between html and BB Code (same as Vcode I think) if you want to take some of the work off of orth's hands. its as simple as copy paste. In addition for future reference the tutorial link I posted also teaches the fundamentals of the coding used on this forum.
