Going to be gone for a while
« on: January 06, 2007, 02:34:42 pm »
Hi everyone,
hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years.

I haven't been around much, although I have thankfully successfully finished my MBA!  No more study for me for a long time.

Life has been flat out and things are not going to settle down for a while.  I am off to Taiwan on the 15th of Jan for 2 weeks studying martial arts (my idea of a holiday!), back in Australia for a week, then off to the US for 3 months working.

Unless I buy a computer, internet access and NWN while in the US I will not be able to play for at least that long.  Actually I won't even be able to check the Forums as Layo is a restricted site on my work computer :-(

I hope you see you in game before I take-off, if not, I look forward to seeing you when I return!

Congratulations on your MBA!!!
Gonna miss you but I'm sure you'll have lots of fun in the States.
You know....you could always treat yourself to a laptop for passing your MBA....Then you'd only need internet access  ;)

Hi,
back from Taiwan (about 3 hours ago).

I trained with the sons of Chen Pan Ling, namely Chen Yun Ching.  Learnt some new forms and met a lot of great people.  The two weeks just flew!

Now I am jet lagged and starting to think abou what I need to pack for my next trip....

Hope everyone is well!

Jin Lun Lee will be online for a while if you wake up any time soon.  Welcome back Pendar, even if it only once this week.  Happy travels.

Hi All,
well I am in the US and got me a computer...that runs Vista so I can't log on...don't have my character details anyway.  But if I can find a way to log on...i'll give it a go!

When I was in Taiwan I studied Chen Pan Lings 99 form Tai Chi, Buagwa, Hsingi a form called Mountain Top Boxing and a Shaolin pole form.  I also pacticed the Tai Chi sword form a little :-)

Apart from that, everything else is going fine.  Keeping busy and I'm off to Texas next week.

Hope everyone is well and saving the world!

Hi Mate,

There are some people playing NWN/Layo on Vista.  Not sure what they did to get it working.

Cheers,

Hi all,
it is 3:31 am Monday morning and I have nearly been back home (in Australia) for 24 hours.  I'm still on US time.  But I have used it to great affect, downloading all the patches :-)

Now I have access to Pendar and my other characters :-)  Just have to get Savon Strongarm transferred across...one thing at a time.

It is great to be home, but I think I'll miss the US but not the coffee.  First thing I did when I got to Sydney airport was buy a coffee.  Man it was good :-)

Hope to see you all online...now I just have to find out where my characters are....I know I left them somewhere on the world....
