    Skinning Knife (Game Mechanics)
    « on: November 05, 2005, 05:20:00 pm »
How do I use the skinning knife to skin a rat for food?  I've tried equiping the knife and then using the dead rat, as well as equping the knife and bashing the dead rat.  Neither seem to work.  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

You equip the skinning knife and click on the skinnable corpse...it will say its skinnable if it is- the ones on the first level I think are not.  ;)

Also, some animals are just too small to be able to get any edible meat off of it.

So skinning a rat for food might not be the best of ideas when there are nice tasty deer wandering around.

though you don't get meat from a rat just the skin, i believe it's based on the fact that there isn't enough meat to get a meal from it

What, not enough meat on a rat?  The English navy in the days of wooden ships would have starved, even more, if not for tasty rats they caught.

True but one rat does not a meal make.
