it's stronger than me... whenever I start reading a book, I want to finish it as soon as possible, preferrably in the same day I bought it. Harry Potter books, though tend to take a bit longer than the others I read because I don't wait for them to be translated to portuguese, I read them in english.

agreed.  The entire series has had me reading each book within a day or two.  A friend of mine lent me the 1st 3 when Goblet of Fire came out, had those read within the week. ;)

very well written with excellent characters and a nice novel setting

It's a pity J.K.Rowling doesn't write faster, I can't wait for the next. Gonna read the 6 books all over again, I had to wait so much time for this one that I forgot most details. Also, there was this Harry Potter server here in NWN, but I haven't played it in so much time I can't find it. It was very good, you started out, had to buy your things at Diagon-Alley, and then you'd go to Hogwarts and had to make some homework to pass year. It was low-power, like Layo, each year was 2 levels. I liked it.

Took me 5 1/2 hours. Straight. Work today sucked afterward, of course ;)

Might I suggest reading the Belgariad, Mallorean, Elenium, and Tamuli series' by David Eddings? Excellent books.

          Good book references above.

Chronicles of Thomas Covenant - 2 volume, six book epic is good too.  It does raise the issues of leprosy, loneliness, self doubt and rape amongst others.  Probably a love it or hate it series.
