Chongo, oh Chongo, why doest thou take my time slot with your much more epic and longer running series!

... ahem.... yeah... here's the thread we try and figure something out. If you're involved, you know who you are. And when I say involved, I mean the party's pretty much reached its max size, so please only respond if you've been involved so far. (this could change but only time will tell)

Right.....Next week as well as having Chongo's quest, Elladan is away from home and most likely internet access on Wednesday and Thursday.

He could do either day after next week though.

Weekends are also pretty hectic with work and family although I do have every other Saturday night off starting with Saturday the 29th of Sept.

I'm in college, so my schedule is pretty set, but until someone comes up with a concrete day or time, I won't say much. Though ANY day other then fridays from 3:00 pm EDT to 7 PM edt works for me until I start my job, though I might be able to sneak my laptop into work too

I like the idea of keeping this as close to the set time as possible.

1) How many people are affected by Chongo's quest?

2) Is it possible to to a shorter (2-3 hour) quest session right after Chongo's? Chongo's ends at 4:30, would definately make for a long day for those involved in both quests (points to question 1 above).

3) Does Wednesday in the same time slot work?

4) Would skipping a week work?

Just some ideas that I have on it.

1) 5 or 6 - all but one have been on Milty's quest from the start

2) Erm....Chongo's is set to finish at 11.30pm GMT....I have to be up at 6am GMT at the latest and Elladan will be leaving Chongo's before it finishes due to having to be up at 4am GMT

3) Normally yes but Elladan is out of town Wednesday/Thursday night of next week although if he is the only person that can't make it then I'm sure he'll be fine about it going ahead without him.

4) I get the impression from Chongo we have many more sessions to come so not sure

Fridays wouldn't work for me though =\\ I have a class from 2:50 - 4:10 PM EDT on fridays

Hmm, yeah, Fridays are bad for me to, not because I have anything scheduled, but because my wife would cut off my you-know-what if I ran a game on Friday.

I can risk mutilation if I must, but I'd rather avoid that if at all possible.

I really like the 14:30 cst time slot. Days I would like to avoid are alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays starting 10 October. Having this quest run at 14:30 cst those days means I would be doing back-to-back quests, which I try to avoid.

If these days end up being a must, an ideal alternative for me would be to run this series on the weeks when Who Dunit and Elemental Mysteries are not scheduled. If we are staying with a weekly schedule on these days, Thursdays works much better for me - my rl schedule on Wednesdays always involves a 2+ hour road trip. So with back-to-back quests on alternating weeks means I would most likely miss one of them or have to choose between series.

I am stating what works for me. Thanks for considering this, Milt, and if we have to go with a slot that is non-optimal for me, no problem.

Dorax, yes, to start with... but Chongo's series isn't over, either. Chongo and I are having to work this out when he gets back from his rescue mission in the mountains.

After next week my schedule will be changing. So after that lone quest I will no longer be taking up the Tuesday slot.

I really won't have any exact information on things until next Wednesday on my scheduling.

As a sidenote, due to a new job I'm taking my quest times will be shifting to evening MST for the most part with probably one or two evening GMT slots open each week, which I'll probably reserve for playing. So aside from Krakaria, GMT quests will become a bit more rare on my end.

ooo... I might actually get to play in a quest of yours if it's MST evening. =P .... but that aside, if next week is the only week it'll be on a Tuesday during that timeslot, then maybe Orphans can just break for a week, and pick it up the next week.

What do the rest of y'all think?

I'll open up the Arms or do something else or maybe, heaven forbid, actually play. ;-)

Possibly the best choice, Milty. The fact that this means I don't have to miss it has no bearing on my opinion, of course
