You know how sometimes you get hit by some massive damage and your hit points drop to -11 or -12 and you think to yourself, 'bugger, so close, I almost made it' I'm not entirely sure if I set an official record, or just my own record, last night on Dezza's quest but;

*Arkolio creeps along the darkened corridor, relatively unscathed from the battle with the savage pygmy warriors outside (// 71/97 HPs ). Some distace behind, the heavy footsteps of Pig, Jake, Revone and the others echoed loudly in his ears. This is what Arkolio loved best, far ahead of the group, at one with the shadows - unseen to even the most wary of watchers. Moving forward with unrivalled stealth and grace, Arkolio's eyes peered into the gloom of the crypt beyond. It was then that he heard a small click sound at his feet...*

*reflex save, Roll 1 + Modifier 26 = 27, DC = 35)

What's left of the human body at -174 HPs? Can someone beat this!!??!


PS. Thanks to Dezza, it was great fun! My two favourite bits - the trap on top of the crypt causing Jake's head to explode (ha!) and the RP onboard the ship;

I'm pretty sure I've done something like that before, all those epic traps are fun. *click, boom, 200 damage* I remeber one quest, after losing two or three people, I was checking a warehouse for traps and found one on the chest and started getting tells: "Don't blow up the chest, whatever you do" from players. Tempting to touch the chest because of that....

hehe, that was hilarious last night!!

Anyway Pseudo, even though you got the main course I started with the entree.

There we were fighting Pigmies and Alandric spots the entrance.  He turns with his lasts words, "Wait!"...click, spiked traps with poison for 60+ (can't remember the exact damage).  Dead as a door nail in seconds.
Spend the rest of the night on Pig's back.

Anyway that comment to the Ship Captain would have to go down as my all time favorite comment in my years of play.

I hit a trap the other night that did over 200 to me and my guardian.

heh well we should of took more causion seeing that there was three graves in the same area

but when i saw ark get hit by that trap and it did like 217 or so damage i was like "thats gotta hurt"

I have a screenie in my album of Yardislan taking a critical hit on a sneak attack for 200+ damage.  Granted, that was from a GM avatar, but...

Worst on Layo was around 250 damage from Angela landing on me with a precise strike.  And no Angela... I'll never let you live it down .

Next to that was several stacked epic traps hitting me at once somewhere in Milara's dig.  I think it was about 6 traps, 3 or 4 seemed epic-ish in damage.

Oh, and worst ever was for around 1800 damage on a PvP server from a gimped divine scyther.

 I know this.  http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums/calendar/event-view.asp?eventid=2397&year=2006&month=10  So, people have taken some big damage but no-one has been reduced to less than -174hp?? (yet)
