Hey there, i was looking for a new mmorpg , and lucky me, i found layonara what looks great,
i played NWN and i think its great that they used aurora toolset to create their own fantasy world.

Now my question is,becuase i find it quite important in an mmorpg.

The FAQ says that there is free pvp, but pking other people is not "ALLOWED". Does this mean i CAN kill other players and OTHER players CAN Kill me but they have to live with the consequences, e.g guard attacking them,being charged for murder?
or what is it like!

PvP on Layonara is not allowed, not even attacking neutral NPC's.

 Pickpocketing is also not allowed.

From the FAQ:

Q:    Does Full PVP mean that I can kill my part member?
A:    There are two answers to this question. The first being you are not allowed to intentionally kill another character. The second being that with Full PVP it is possible for you to kill a part member while under the effects of confusion or with an Area of Effect (AOE) Spell such as fireball. So take care with using AOE spells


If you kill another player intentionally you will be banned from the server.

You can also right click and attack another player and right click and attack an NPC.  This would fall under intentional attacking and you would be subject to banning.

It is also possible to use a special attack on a player/NPC like knockdown... so be extra careful when using these in a group environemnt.  

If you are looking for PvP,  this is not the world for you.  If you are looking for rich roleplaying, an expansive and detailed world with an ongoing campaign then welcome to Layonara.

PvP is set to full on the server so that area effect spells will hurt allies aswell as enemies so that it is more realistic. PvP is strictly forbidden unless it takes place in the arena, or if a GM is monitoringit and both patiers agree. I am not sure about the arena though ...
