Dont try to fly through Denver for the next few days. My flights home were shut down :( so I am stuck in Iowa for 3 more days with no broadband, no laptop, no Layo :(. Wren has some CNR for a few of you, it will have to wait a bit. See you all in a few days.

Wren it could be worse. You might be held up some place else besides wonderful Iowa.  Course NE Iowa where I live is much nicer then Des Moines.

I hate snow... It was 70F here on Tuesday. I'd tell you to fly to here but I'm either not home or passed out these days. *shifts eyes* or on Layo.

Aaaaand... you can always talk to me on myspace. 8)

I wish some would fall in Montana. It's cold enough here the squirrels freeze themselves to the ground when they pee (really, I am not kidding.. made the local news, yes, it is THAT sad of a news day here) But barely a skiff of snow. The ground is like concrete and all these out of state people driving around on the ice need to hurry up and become traffic fatalities so I can not have to dodge them on the way to school and back :P

Seriously, if it's slick out, lay off the gas, and brake gently well in advance of where you need to stop.
there should be an IQ test before you're issued a license of any sort :P

Aw crud!  I am really hoping to miss this storm when I travel this weekend.  I've been watching it closely and hope to get lucky.  I'm concerned as it does not sound likely.  I'll cross the fingers anyways.  I hope those of you hit by it find ways to manage and you have my condolences, nonetheless.

What can I say, when it comes to storms and the chaotic forces of nature, I certainly don't have my character's perspective on the matters.  I like them both predictable and manageable.

I'm in the middle of it as well, and I'll be flying back into it for the holidays if it lasts that long.

My brother in law flies for FedEx.  It's his birthday.  Guess where he's stuck?

Gold stars for those who said Denver.

I feel for you, jrizz. The water at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park was almost too cold to get into. But we managed. *winks*

Yesterday was a nice hot day (32C), was swimming with the kids till like 9pm :)
Would love to have a white christmas once, but where I live it will never happen. Guess I need to save for a christmas holiday in one of those cold places :P

I've seen snow four times in my life. Maybe five.
Two days ago it was about 75F, and people were wearing shorts.
WHY DON"T THEY UNDERSTAND?!? ITs WINTER!

but, I have a kid with pink eye, another with a cold, I have the flu...

    I'd rather have snow

I do despise you with a passion, twidget. I hope you know that. :P  I think I might plan a vacation to Hawaii just to bug you one of these days.
