Temporary Site: The LORE Mirror
« on: March 15, 2007, 05:30:40 am »
Since the LORE tends to be indispensible most days, I've taken the liberty of temporarily indexing some of the cached pages.

Had I known it would be down, I'd have the whole thing available, but for now, I have Deities up and running, for those who wish to look up important LORE-based things.

Naturally, should L or the team request that I take it down, it will go down.

However, as a temporary resource, allow me to present The LORE Mirror.  Use at your own risk; I'm just putting this thing together from old archived pages.  *chuckles*

Nice thought but I really need to get to know some of the new rules about creating characters for V3. :-) Can any of you hook me up with that?

I am very sorry for the sudden loss of LORE. It was not planned for it to go down, just a bad situation that had to be resolved. Please refer to my update in the thread about V3 changes.

We are working on getting things resolved with LORE to allow for characters, in-game actions, and deity relationships to be working again but the rest of the stuff probably will not come back online.

Sorry folks.

Leanthar, when you say "the rest of the stuff probably will not come back online," does that include the parchment folders and falcon letters?  I would sorely miss those two features.

No, those are in-character and in-game sorts of things that I referred to above. Those we still plan to bring back online.

Class information now up, though individual class skills/feats will be a little while yet!

There's a typo in the forums link that makes it inoperable. Also, the Server Status page we're using now would work fine in the link on the Mirror.

Also, the logo in the front page isn't centered in the cell.

Bear in mind, as I said, the pages are STATIC now.  That means that every page you see is different, rather than being dynamically generated as they were before.  This may be the long way around doing things, but without the original headers and footers, it's the fastest way to get content up.

That being said, little things like that are easy enough to fix.

And thus, they are.

:) That's the reason I posted those little things.

Ohh this is nice for now :O one question though:
Do we still have access to time/date? also does anyone have the date chart that translated days/months into other languages (Elven, Barbarian etc etc)?

Thanks in advance for whatever answer!

*sigh*  And just when I came up with a really nifty little script to clean up Google's cached page images!  Ah well.

Thank you, team!

(Particularly whoever is involved in maintaining LORE.  It's bloody huge!)

Thank you too darkstorme... And everyone for weathering the storm.  Things will still be a little rocky over the next course but we'll settle in.
