The Gauntlet
« on: February 12, 2014, 07:53:19 am »
Seeking interest in running the Gauntlet. That is... a complete trip through the Deep.... from one end to the other.Estimated trip time - 6 hours ( depending on how smoothly we go and how well I remember the way)Maran the Druid will try to provide all protections for those going. ( Except Blade Enhancements and Mind Blank )All levels are welcome, understanding that under Lvl 20's will likely die often, and that I cannot protect everyone in a large group.Time would be around 8pm GMT on a Saturday / Sunday ( date to be decided )

//// ooo, I'd like to do this, depending on schedule. I'd probably bring Sahala, my dark elf crazy (lvl 21), but if the group needs a reliable powerhouse, I can bring Steel (lvl 35). ////

Borris is way onboard! Especially for a Sunday. I work both nights but I'm much more able to sneak out early on a Sunday over a Saturday. And 8:00 GMT means 11:20 'ish  pm Eastern right?

Lets aim for this comming Sunday!

P.S. If Mumbles says he knows the way, I believe him!

Plenty interest.

If we aim for a Sunday though, it might cause problems if we don't clear the Deep in the six hours...

... but then it is a Gauntlet.

We have six hours to clear the Deep ... failure to make it out means your on your own! ( Or helpful GM rescue )

Sunday 8pm GMT  ( we leave at exactly 8:15pm with no exceptions )

Meet at Fort Mirtrix ... we will enter by the south entrance to give low levels a chance to stay alive longer,

PS Brutus , Mumbles gets lost in the Rift, never mind the Deep     ;)

* Boris hands Riley a copy of his map. Riley looks at the map. It is a piece of parchment with some crudely drawn stick figure like characters on it. It looks like the sort of thing that a very small child might draw. On the left part of the page there is a big green stick figure monster, with a crooked smiley face which Riley deems is meant to represent Boris. Then a smaller stick figure with a slightly better drawn smiley face which he assumes is meant to be a likeness of himself, and stretching out in front of them is a crooked dotted line leading to a big red X with no other discernible landmarks or indicators as to where anything is with relation to anything else. A rush of shock hits Riley as he realizes that this sloppy mess of a scribbling is what Boris thinks is a viable map. *

Daniel talked Lana into going.  We'll have to leave at quest time (about 5 hours in) and wait in the Deep for rescue.
