Who watched the match today?

What was your thoughts on how it unfolded?

I think the score could have easily been like 2-0 England today.

I think the USA dodged a bullet!

I submitted a 2-0 win for England for the World Cup Pool we have at my work. So pretty peeved, already trailing by 9 points. I want that Wii!

I think the match kind of highlighted England's dependence on Rooney being in good shape.

saw parts of koreas drubbing of greece while on my layover in illinois but missed the whole england us match being in the air coming home

rooney is in good shape but he just didnt go take control from what ive read about the game and this draw just gives the us team confidence and thats never good in sports to let our teams who are iffy think they can do something

that usually means we get to unexpected levels

The US got very lucky in the goal it did score - it also had some spots of bad luck (the ball that bounced off the keeper's hands, and then off the post) - there were a few stretches in the game where the US really seemed to control the game, although overall I would say England definitely had the run of play. Could easily have been a couple more goals scored on either side. Tim Howard really was the biggest reason the game was as close as it was though. And yes, poor Green, gotta feel sorry for him.

I hate to say it but, USA got very lucky in that match. It could've been a 5-0 blow out if it wasn't for Howard. England had at least 8 on target shots on goal and half of them were one on one with the keeper where as the USA had 5 with 3 on target and they were weak rollers. How Green let that one is still baffling.

Still I am happy for the point we got and look forward to England's and USA's next matches coming up!

We'll take it, even though we didn't deserve it.  Go USA!

You talking about the game or the fans in the stands :)

Soccer/Futbol fans have a passion like no other.  not a huge fan, but love watching the world cup....great competition!

Go Red, White and Blue!!

I watched it at a bar here and there were about 6 guys at the bar obviously from England, they had the English jerseys on.  One fellow had a huge english flag/banner rolled up in his lap.  They looked pretty upset at the finish, and too bad he didn't get to use his flag.  GO USA!

I used to love the sport, was even a decent goalie in my time. Made it to the finals of the south-west youth devision title in Quebec. Yikes that makes me feel old.. but anyways. I have lost the love of the game exactly because of the fans attitude. It's sad to say, but beside the occasional world cup games I watch with my friends, I really don't follow it anymore.

But still, good luck to any countries in it.

I think they were more than just beaten, heheh.

Though perhaps I should hold my mouth until *after* the Dutch squad has their victory celebration today. *winks at the Danes*
