Roleplaying / Re: Forced Emotes - Learn what it is« on: December 24, 2006, 05:45:17 AM »
my thoughts on thought emotes are most of them are just random information for ooc knowledge. a real reaction isn't nessasary. more fun than something to respond to like
*Bob's stomach rumbles and he wonders if he should have saved that roasted meat* just something to add. the actual part that your character notices is the stomach rumbling but a druid wouldn't respond to that "why did you waste meat" etc. for instance though if it's something your having trouble describing but have seen and been able to tell on other people it might be something a character should react to *Bob scruches up his face as he smells the newcomer to the fire* It may be hard to do a full description of how he scrunched up his face at the smell, also someone might not get the intention even if their character had a high wisdom so that would let people know what to take it for EDIT: as for forced emote i agree they shouldn't be used in general try using something that allows the other person a reaction. If someone doesn't allow that (me for instance) just send a tell and see if they correct it or react as though they did leave an opening no ones perfect so the perfect emote won't always be used by everyone. suggestions in tells from time to time (at least for me) are apreciated 2

sorry just read this a few minutes ago then i PMed L with some of my thoughts that way i wouldn't repost the "exploit" here.
um could you please let me know after the programming and such is in game so i can post a discussion on those ideas just to see what people have to say this way it will be done after others can act on it. I would do it now but no discusion could happen without putting down the "exploit" 4

[Exploit information removed]
Edit: also if an enchant rod I is put on iron tipped raven tailed oak arrows it gives 2D4 to constructs still and then the +2 fire damage so the tip damage still applies. 7

yeah i was hoping to include a grey dwarf as a prisoner in my next Character submission. I was going to have it significantly affect my sheild dwarf's life. it was just a thought.
Edit: the grey dwarf i planned would be a chossen from the clergy if that was possible 8

I'd be happy to meet you and work out this deal if i can't keep up with the order then ill try to get a few partners to help. anyway it will be a good challange so I'd like to meet with you soon. As for the price difference. I plan on lowering the price as soon as i can reliably get oak anyways so this will give me great practice and i may be able to lower it over the board soon. thank you. Sab //By the way im sorta busy with RL till late monday i have a report due so we'll have to meet after that sorry for the delay //Rick 10

Heights but its sort of weird. Um if im in a building with big glass windows i have to stand against the wall. I have trouble going past the third step on a ladder. but flying gliding and repeling are great fun. Also i can't stand climbing so i guess i really only like the coming down part but i really love that.
Tried to break it by going climbing and repeling once a month for a year and a half with some friends but was freaked out going up legs shaking everything had to pull myself up with my arms to climb and i was harnessed is so there was no reason. And i loved the repeling part, which may have been why i kept going back Edit: @ Vyris ... i like getting electecuted its happened to me four or five times now and except once when i couldn't use my arm for a while i enjoyed it. 12

Hello again.
Thank you Stygain for your business it was greatly apreciated and if youever need more bolts feel free to ask. Tyrian i have finished your arrows I created an assortment as per your request: i made 20 with platinum head, 100 with iron heads, 80 with bronze heads, and 100 with copper heads. Kerrin I'm almost done with your arrows though you never specified heads or tails so ill make what i have at hand. because of an increase in my iron supply i am lowering the price for iron headed hickory shafts from 20 gold per arrow to 15. Thanks Sab 14
General Discussion / Re: Question on luring monster« on: December 12, 2006, 12:10:36 PM »
A question to what L said above, does that mean as a rule of thumb interiors such as caves and houses are set to scale and exteriors such as forests and cities are not?
My next thought on this is would creatures nessasarily always call their friends. I mean wolves would that for sure but would ogers, or mercenaries? I would think that if something looking out for it's own good above the good of its group saw something it thought it could kill and eat/loot it would probably try to do that with alerting as few members of its group as possible. Im not saying its right to lure nor am i saying that i do i am just saying from an RP standpoint it seems reasonable for creatures to try getting something without letting the others of their kind know that that person/peice of food is there. This of course wouldn't be true for lawful creatures nor animals that hunt in packs and probably a variety of other sorts. So some thought will be need to put in if the creature Might act that way if thats the way you decide to play but i, from an RP perspective not mechanical, see little problem with doing it to chaotic creatures who look out solely for themselfs, goblins as an example. (hobgoblins are an example of a creature you couldn't do it to as they're Lawful and will follow the rules of reporting problems to their superior.) this is just an opinion of a player here, if this is an affront to anyone I appoligize sincerly. Hwllo again its been a long long long time since i wrote in you. well i met even more new people which is usually fun. I met alot of people who are my size and we're thinking about getting together and going down to create a new home in the desert.
I like the desert alot because of how open it is, and there is alot of sand there. Everyone thinks it will be hard to do but i think it will be fun. Uilliam mentioned making bricks and i that will be our foundation for our houses. Maybe ill go and look that stuff up. Anyway thats just one thing thats happened in this long time. Others are things like pie hunting, Going to Hurm with my great friend Mille, fighting a rust monster , which was the worst thing in the world. going to the bottom of haven, getting a lizards head to help captain gerant, getting a little girls grandpas ashes. collecting silk aloe thisle scullcap leaves and eggs, making Zergon another new identity this time he's Yargon the hunter. going to rilliara. and many other things which i probably won't get to. I'll try to write in you later about all those things though especially about going to hurm, getting pie and fighting the rust monster. Byes till next times. 18
