    difference between damage types
    « on: December 22, 2006, 04:23:33 PM »
Mainly i ask because arrows is my trade and i was wondering how expedient it was to enchant them.

So what is the big difference between using say negative energy from stirges, and cold energy from an enchantment (except when fighting undead i mean :) )

that's all that pertains to me atm but a further explaination would be more than welcome.

    Thanks everyone

You wouldn't like to enchant those arrows since enchantments take the negative damage away I think

It depends entirely on the immunities/resistances of the specific thing you're shooting.

Thusly one can deduce that having several different options on hand at all times would allow one to be prepared for any conceivable situation.

(note: programming for too long makes one goofy.)

What Talan is trying to say is this.

Keep all different kinds of arrows on-hand. That way, you'll be prepared for anything. Undead, fire elementals, golems, etc.

Personally, iron-headed raven-tailed oak would be my first choice anywhere there's constructs.

Or you could be lazy and just use one sort of arrows. The damage makes difference but it's nothing vital, really...

To much of a hazzle to swap arrows back and forth. ;)

I'll agree with you there, Weebs. It's Fishing Arrows or nothing for me. ;) It's where Pyyran gets string, too; just cut the thirty yards or so of twine off of each arrow, and there you have it. The drop in performance doesn't really bother him.
