Um how many of us GMs did you pose this question to anyway just out of curiousity?

A suggestion, if you need to send a PM to a half dozen GMs, it may be more appropriate to just post it on the forum.

There is a fantastic post by Sakura about inks and scribing. Do you mean in game or a book like the ones vgn puts together. I will find the post and put the link in here in a second.

Well i talked to Leanther and he said:
"We will try to get to it at some time but a player can do it and send it to us and it will be so much faster. heh."
So i figured if he said that then i should throw the idea out and see if i catch anything. And i mean an in game recipe book so i dont have to go back to the darned crafting tables everytime i want to know the ingredents for a different ink type or scroll configration... i thank it would be useful for all players. but then again there my be a reasion there arent recipe books for scribing and ink that i dont know of.

until and if an ingame book gets made you can keep notes on what you need for things in your journal.

Everything you want to know for inks, cantrips and first circle scrolls can be found in Willow's Book of Crafting, part 2:

that should give you the general gist of it, higher level scrolls only tend to change recipe-wise when you look at the gemdust and scroll needed (and the type of ink lesser, normal or greater).   Making an entire in-game book would have an insane amount of text (just look at the size of the list of spells already).

All the crafts are actually very logical. They seem confusing at first, but after a couple of days you should remember all the ingredients even without a book. So you can try making notes in the journal and begin crafting, very soon you'll understand what I had in mind.

What Ar7 said, Elinmire doesn't need a book anymore.  He knows what it takes.  It just takes a little time.

I know people keep saying this and I'm going to repeat it... we all learned to craft via trial and error. We had to learn to memorize the ingredients or write them down somewhere... it might be a little painful to do it with however many crafts you want to do, but I did it and so can you.
*looks around* You! In the back! I saw you roll your eyes at me! Ten minutes in the corner!
Book is a good idea, unfortunatly there are so many recipies... hundreds in alchemy, hundreds in scribing, hundreds in weapon crafting, cooking, and tailoring. There's just no way any one person can find the time to do it all. Even with a group of people, one for each craft, it'd take quite a while. Good idea... but kinda not realistic at this point. ZV-
