Photoshop?
« on: May 30, 2005, 06:36:00 PM »
Well I always used photoshop elements on my other ocmputer.  I got my new computer about 3 months ago as some of you know.  Now my problem is that the photoshop that came with this computer was a different one and ran out after 90 days, basically it was a trial version.  I'm only 16 so I don't have a lot of cash obviously.  I was wondering what the highest number of photoshop (e.g. Adobe Photoshop 5) that you can download for free (if possible).  As Trace Nightwind does a lot on movies and special effects and things, I do to.  I have done a few animated movies of my own with special effects and what not, and possibly in the future will put some up.  So basically that is my question, what is the best, free-downloadable version of Adobe Photoshop?

There is none.

Try a free alternative like Paint Shop Pro (shareware) or The Gimp (freeware).

yeah Photoshop costs. You can probally get a copy of a lower version on ebay pretty cheap though. And the PS Elements can be found too. I got Elements when I bought my scanner. DiDnt need it though so I gave it to my cousin.

Paint shop pro is a lot cheaper (for the registered version) and its shareware, so you can try it out for free.

Its something like 60 bucks instead of 300.

I remember when Paint shop pro used to be a slightly beefed up version of "Paint" heh, now its a fairly nice photoshop clone.
