My oxen.. who Celgar used as a trade post and Craftung storage just went poof....

I left the poor oxen near the oxen merchant in hlint and RARELY used him for more than holding CNR and odd items that I have picked up... This is my second oxen and probily the oldest one on layonara that didn't get murderd... So I'm RPing old age got to Tender loin and he made his passing as peaceful as it's life was... All i wanna know is what the heck happened to an oxen that for "almost a year sitting and grazing in the safty of hlint (if that was true) just die.. I don't care about the items lost because I can replace them easy.

And if need be move this post where it should be.. last time I saw my oxen was in the ox pen behind the merchant and that was friday (jan 14)
I was trying to run for the record od oldest Oxen :)

Did you do the usual stuff like logging out and back in, talking to the merchant to see if he can tell you where it is/retrieve it, stuff like that?

Your ox was killed January 3rd.  No I don't know how, we don't have logs going back that far.

I wish Oxen took damage from their own owners beating them.  Sometimes I just need to get a little frustration out and swing the hammer, but the things seem to have /150 DR.  Then a lvl 1 runs through the gates with 3 goblins on his trail...  poof goes the ox in an explosion of blood.  It's like to get a decent hamburger in town, you have to let an orc or goblin touch it, which makes it taste funny... kind of like barbecue gym socks.

On the plus side, I suppose one could sit there and whip the thing all day without it expiring immediately.  That makes for some interesting RP for observing druids. ;)
