One word for all you sad saps that wait in line. FANDANGO!!! If you have a credit card, you can reserve a ticket online (assuming your local movie theater works with them). You pay a bit extra but it's already payed for and there's no worries about being out of a ticket.

Actually, I'm hearing it's pretty good...Easily the best of Episodes 1-3 and arguably the 2nd best behind The Empire Strikes Back.

But opinions being what they are....  *shrugs*

I made everyone in my school mad!  I saw it on Tuesday night (night before premier).  They did an employee showing at our movie theatre the night before the premier and I got to see it before all my nerdy friends (I'm one of them mind you)!  It made them soooo mad, but I loved it.  In my opinion the best of Episodes 1-3, better than Empire Strikes Back, but not as good as A New Hope or Return of the Jedi.  In my opinion the order from worst to best is Episodes:  I , II  ,  V , III , IV , VI .

I saw it on Wednesday at the premiere.  It was freaking awesome, the Special Effects were amazing and will probably rank up there with my favorite of the movies.

I guess I am going to make you all mad, but...

    I hate Starwars :)

All of them....seen only one episode and it was enough

One thing is weird though, people in USA stand in loooong lines and our theatres have loads of free tickets, nobody wants to see the movie heh.

Here's the thing about Star Wars. It came out in the late 1970s and was an immediate hit... why? Because it was pretty much the first movie to go big on aliens, laser guns, laser swords, star ships, strange planets, and had a fairly original idea to it (with the force, jedi knights, and "the dark side").
Those who watched it ask kids during the 70s and 80s were almost always hooked. Now I have to say even though the newer Star Wars have better effects, what makes the old ones so good, is they're so original. People still like Star Wars for a simple reason, it's a Cult Classic, and will always be one. Those nerds (no offence) from the 70s and 80s, never got over it, and as kids grow up today, they're picking it up aswell. Somewhere in this world until the end of time, there will be two kinds of people. Those who have anual showings of the Star Wars series, requiring every audiance member to dress up as a character. And those who laugh and say "what nerds."
Don't think either side really pays attention to what the other says though, so until the end of the world *throws on his Jedi Tunic and lightsaber* May the force be with you!

I guess I suck too then :p but I probably am going to watch it some time, because for me StarWars is just like a classic saga. I hate the series, but I want to know about Anakin :P  Heck Episode 2 is on TV today, I might even watch it, if there wasn't a national exam in maths tomorrow :x..

Guilty as charged.  I saw the original in the theater I don't know how many times.  When they were re-released about 10 years ago (special edition) we went to those.  In my video collection I have:  the original VHS release, the THX release on VHS, the Special Edition THX release on VHS and now the DVD version of every movie except this last one.  Some might say, "Oh you moron! You bought into the George Lucas hype machine.  He's just sucking your money right out of your wallet!"....to which I respond, "So what?" :o  Now...I am not one of those people who take a month out of their lives to camp out for tickets.  And I do laugh at the people who dress up like the characters WHILE standing in line for the movie... :)  But I do have a Star Wars Monopoly game, where I like to play with the Emperor piece and say things like "You and your reblel friends owe me $21 in rent...."  or "Oh...I'm afraid this hotel will be quite operational when your friends arrive..." (in the best/worst Ian McDiarmid impression I can muster)  Geek!  Guilty as charged. :)

The acting was horrific by most of the cast and the dialogue was subpar, but the special effects/scenary and the transition to episode IV was very well done.  All in all its actually something I'd watch again (saw episodes I and II one time each and wouldn't care to see either again).
