Does anyone know how to fish?

I was trying to fish with a pole, line and lure and it kept say "Hmmm...maybe you're usuing the wrong bait..."  I've tried digginf for worms and grubs and I come up empty handed.  Please if anyone could help that would be great.
I know it's trial and error with all these skills, but I'm lost.

To fish i just use my bow and fishing arrows, i find it a lot less confusing.
I'm sorry i don't know anything about the pole style.

While it is less confusing to use a bow and arrow...it takes longer and is less successful.  Anyways, I am on the tradeskill stats list for fishing.  If you have any questions for me just PM me.

i use bow and arrows and i'm number 4 from the bothom. if you are good with the bow(high dex) you should probably use the bow insted...
