I try to log into NWN and it says I can't connect to master server and nothing comes up, anyone have any ideas?

That is a message from Gamespy... I think the only thing you can do is give it time. Sorry.

I don't suppose anyone else is having this problem? I'm getting really frustrated now. I know layonara is working, but I can't even direct connect.

Happens to me when my firewall is blocking all packages.

If the firewall is blocking all packages, it might be time to reconfigure it.

Well I've never had a problem before, but I just turn off the firewall, and its still happening.

My last suggestion would be to turn off your virus scanner. Perhaps a reboot would clear it up?
I know my other computer has this problem from time to time (for long periods of time) and then for days it is good. But I have not had it happen on this computer for more than a few minutes (10-15) at a time.

Well I've had similiar things happen, but usually I can direct connect. I've rebooted the computer, and left for a while too. I'll try the virus scanner. *sighs*

Well it worked... for a while. *sighs* Had to exit for a second and I can't get in anymore. I've just shut down everything I can think of and I still can't get in.

Well if anyone has other ideas I'm open to them. I'm gonna stop trying for tonight and do some searching online to see if bioware can help. Otherwise I'll shut down and hopefully tomorrow I can.

I believe it is a gamespy issue. Ity happened to me for a long time and thenit just stopped one day. Thats all I have.

Any time I get a 'cant connect to gamespy' message I just hit favorites or history and log in from there.

Yeah, that's what I usually do too... But this is different, it says can't connect to master server and not can't connect to gamespy. Nothing is showing up. It won't even let me direct connect. *sighs* I just got home so I'm gonna sleep on it and hopefully time will fix it.

Do you have Norton by any chance?? I know the firewall and virus software issue was brought up. However, after the update my permissions for the NWN software was reconfigured by my Nortion antivirus software. In other words it was blocking all NWN traffic on all ports. If you can check these and set them to permit always if you have not done so already.
