Call of the Forest - Ilean Haiel

It's funny how things turn out, one minute you're lying on your back in the forest, vainly trying to convince your body to wake up and the other you're standing in front of a dragon. I've barely even heard of dragons, much less seen one and all of a sudden one is talking to me!
I already knew about Blood, but I guess I never really understodd how dire things are... If the dragons need aid then he must certainly pose a danger. I don't know how I can possibly help in saving the world against someone like that though. I guess time will tell.
It took me a few days to get used to the town that the dragon transported me to. It's called Hlint and is a fun place. I have never visited many cities before so it's kind of fun to experience it. So many buildings!
Oddly enough everyone here seems lazy. They want me to all sorts of things, the Undertaker wants me to gather the essence of undead, althoguh i suspect he's just too lazy to clear them out and bury the dead properly. The postman wants me to do his job and deliver mail to everyone! Can you imagine it?
Toay I finally ventured out of the town though. I've been spending my time in the sewers killing rats. Not the most exciting prospect, but it helps to train my eye and body to further adventure. I ran into an odd person, a half-orc by the name of Bok. He is not the brightest person, but strong and he helped me out quite a bit. We decided to explore outside the town and ended up killing several goblins before we ran into a fellow adventurer by the name of Serion. He showed us a cave where bats were, since Bok was looking for a bat skin. Apparently someone in town uses them.
It took us a while, but we finally found and killed the bats. We ran into yet another person, this city has alot of adventurers! His name was Brit and he wanted to look for Copper. We were all tired and decided to return to town however. There we say even more people. Odd how such a small town has such a large collection of adventurers without growing larger.
It took alot out of me though and I need some time to myself... cities and people just aren't my thing. I'll spend some time in the wilds before I come back, at least now I know I can survive if I'm a bit careful.
