Question about skill points

The rulebook says that you can have a maximum skill points in any skill of Level plus 3 in class, and cross class skill points maximum is (level +3)/2.  If you take skill focus (or epic skill focus later on) does that increase the number of points possible?  i.e. level plus 6 or (level + 3)/2 plus 3?

Skill focus sits on top of whatever your current points are.
  So if your max is 7 and you've placed 7 points in it, with skill focus it's 10.

nope, it just gives you a bonus modifier to the skill.  it does not increase the maximum number of ranks you can have in any one skill, it simply increases your modifier for that skill.
