Dwarf Meeting
« on: August 22, 2005, 12:19:00 PM »
*In a neat, arcaeic script, written in Common*

There will be a very large meeting at my house for the dwarven battalion. All dwarves are encouraged to come. No one taller than a dwarf or less bearded than one will be allowed to attend, with very few exceptions.

My address is 181 Haven Outskirts, and I fully expect a large turnout. There is, after all, free ale.

Signed,

Turor Sunderstone

//September 25. It's a Sunday. I hope as many people can make it as possible. It is not difficult to attend at all. And by difficult I mean there are no dangers getting to the meeting place this time.

//This will be figured out after I tally up what's good for people. Y'know, if there's a jillion people needing to get on at noon GMT and only two or three at noon PST, chances are it'll happen noon GMT. I'm not a dick, after all. Mostly.

Well, okay, I'm a pretty big jerk, but sometimes I have my good points?

Fah, fine then, I'm never good. I just don't want people whining at me. Happy now?

Okay, so I DO want them to whine at me because I find it funny on the most evil of levels.

And I eat baby kittens.

That was a rant. Yeah, the time will be decided when we see the vast majority. Likely some people will have to compromise or just not show up. Which sucks, I know, I've been there, done that.

I just read that submission where the guy was whining about not, y'know, being able to be what he wants. I find it hilarious. See? I'm evil. Hence THIS rant.

NOW back on Topic...

Yeah, we'll see how many people WANT to go to this meeting, and then we'll see what's a good time for them. So... Yep.

Guaranteed that there won't be many. It's just the way it happens with Player Led Quests... If the DMs happened to stop by, however, and make Ronus tell everyone about the dwarven meeting... cough... And, y'know, use his strange voodoo dwarven powers to pluck dwarves from where they are and drop them off in my house... Hint hint DM team... Hint hint.//

The only problem with the strange "voodoo" used to pluck up dwarves and spirit them to another location is that sometimes it misfires and we pluck Balor Lords and armies of Pit Fiends...which as everyone knows are rotten house guests...they drink all the good ale and leave crumbs in the chip bowls....oh, and they double-dip.
That and dwarves particularly seem to get some serious motion sickness from moving so fast in a manner in which they are not actually in contact with the ground.
  Walking is safer. :)

//Well you know you can rely on me :) GMT evening times are good for me, any time after 6:30. but I can make afternoons too, just hopefully no earlier than noon, because I don't want to drag myself out of bed too early! ;)

Unless suddenly there's a crisis and the road to Haven is waylaid by, say, ogrillons. And, uh...giants. Oh, and a dragon that calls himself The Claw.  None of which better happen on September 25th, or there will be a very angry dwarf hunting down omniscient beings with a bat with a nail in it.

*Jacchri see the note in the inn*
Oh no....better get Kit to double the guard......make that triple. Dont want those druken dwarves coming out of the party late at night and damaging my garden or house.
  *walks away mumbling*
Perhaps I should sleep at the guild house that night......all the noise.....

//So far it looks like it'll be in GMT evening... I might hold several meetings that day, just in case. Like two. One in GMT evening, one in PST Evening. Which ought to be good, I guess. Just a couple hours later.

'Recent troubling news of Blood's armies advancing upon Mistone have pushed this meeting to be held far sooner than we had expected. All dwarves, please find your way to my house; we must do something about this, and we must do something about this now.'

//Yep, meeting gets to be held a lot earlier in the month. Check the calander.

//Meeting today... We'll see how many can make it at 8:00 PM GMT and how many at 8:00 PST. That should do us fine.
