Question from a new guy

okay so this is me being a noob.  Ive been approved for my character who is a Thief/Wizard.  Is there a way to start your character at creation as the multiclass or do you just start off as one of them and then pick up the second class when you get your level ?

Pick which one to start, then when you make level 2 level up in the other.

Heh, yeah NWN is 3rd edition.
