but is not what everyone sees.  Everyone else sees a head with jewelry.

I see that head for Brit. I think I downloaded a head pack from the IGN site a while ago.

this is because you have an non-layo headpack in your override.  If you're putting stuff in your override you cant expect it to look the same for everyone.  You have to have the layo head override in for heads to look the same.

Edit: theres a very similar head thats one of the default heads.  I suggest you clean out your override and put the layo heads in if you want everyone to see the same head you do.

Last head pack I have put in override directory is the Layo head pack ... no reason to download anything else but layo files

well, you have non-layo heads from before then.  I remember you had problems with Noss' head before layo even head a headpack.

To get your client to agree with what everyone else sees you'll need to delete all the non-layo heads in your override.  The easiest way to do that would be do empty the whole folder and reinstall the layo ones.

No, it will just make what you see agree with what everyone else sees.  his head is already picked.

You picked... lets say hypothetically, head #16.  You had an override that made head 16 look like you saw it on creation.  However, the layo pack has head 16 as a different head.  

So, doing this will prevent you from having this problem when creating characters in the future, but it will not change your already created characters head from the one it is now (the slick hair and piercings one) to one that you like.  it will stay at head 16, everyone else will see what they always saw, you will just see what everyone else sees too.

The only way to change his head to the one you wanted is to have L or Orth LETO it (edit the character file in the server vault.)  Which probably won't happen, since it takes time, and if it were available as an option people would be requesting their characters LETOed all the time.

And just to clarify something...
  Having the Layo head pack in your "override" folder won't enable other players to see your head while in-game.  It does, however, affect how you see your own head during character creation.
