Well i arrived in a small town today called Hlint, it was a strange path that led me here, i just kind of layed down to rest in the forest then woke to find a dragon staring right at me who told me to go fight against some guy called Blood.

My random shifting doesn't seem to be happening just now, maybe i exhausted all the power that let me shift, ah well it might come back. Hopefully.

I thought that i'd better start working in the town, to better my skills and earn some money at the same time. I bumped into the tax lady of the town, she had lost her books and gave me some clues that they might be down the sewers. I ventured down there no questions asked hoping it would be a 5 minute journey to find the book in some crack or a drain....there was no such venture, i found a mageling down there having "fun" killing rats. Although i'd rather not let these creatures die for the sake of human bloodlust i seriously needed the money and the experience of battle so i joined forces with the mageling and together we found the book. They were being held by what can only be described as an abomination, half man half rat. This is what happens when man intervenes with nature obviously. Anyway we secured the book and i managed to get the mageling out before he killed anymore innocent rats, i was rewarded handsomely for the return of the book, i'm starting to like this town.

I met with Johan in the crafthouse later that day, he asked me to find some animal skins for him....i refused instantly, how can a trade like this go on? it's disgusting not to mention obscene.
Instead of wasting my time in that horrible trade i helped the quartermaster and ronus with a little goblin problem, Goblins are horrible little humans so i didn't mind these jobs, with a little help from another shifter i managed to secure the goblin ears for the quartermaster and the chieftans head for ronus, now it seems it is safe for me to travel to fort llast which i had heard of from ronus.

I travelled to llast on one of ronus' caravans and met a mage there who wanted a wisp essence. These wisps are delicate little bundles of energy, natures oddities. I felt a little remorse for having to kill such a beatuiful thing just to get it's essence to a human, once again the pay was too much to refuse.

I've been training alot recently, i shifted for the first time in a while again, it was in the middle of Hlint when i was playing with alandre, i turned into a bear. It amused alandre very much but seemed to frighten the others around me. After a small bear talk with alandre i shifted back...i'm having trouble keeping this shifting businessfor long. Maybe just maybe i can master it with a bit more training.

I've met alot of people around mistone since before i wrote this, most of them friendly, unlike my foster family.....when will i see Arle again

I shifted again today, i'm finding i can shift into a whole host of different animals now, yet i have trouble keeping one shape for very long. These shapes are becoming very useful, i can shift into the bear when i find myself in trouble on the battlefield, i can shift into a cheetah when i need to run, either from something or to it, i can shift into a bird went i've had enough of human company to get my freedom or i can shift into a small black cat when i find a need for sneaking around, i know how to shift into other animals but these are the shapes i find most useful.

I met a blue elf today, she seemed nice and could talk the words of animals, which was nice to hear after being around so many humans. She told me of a goddess that could control the winds and would be able to give me guidance on my shifting abilities...maybe i should learn more about this goddess, before we parted ways she told me this goddess was Katia, i'll look into this goddess soon.

I can feel my shifting abilities gaining in every attempt to shift now, not long before i learn a whole lot more shapes to shift in and maybe even learn to keep a shape for some time.

Today saw a great increase in my shifting abilities, i am able to keep a shape for quite a while now, i think i'll start training myself up properly soon.

Alandre has been helping out alot with my growing abilities, he's been protecting me whilst i learn first hand how to shift to suit the appropriate task.

With a little help from others i managed to secure two items from two clans of ogres, one in some mine near haven, one in a mountain range, i really showed shifting prowess in both places as i created a small "bear army" which consisted of myself, shifted into a bear obviously, alandre, a dire bear that i had summoned and a grizzly bear that i had convinced to join our cause, we certainly showed those ogres a lesson. In the mines i found myself sneaking ahead as a tiny black cat, i managed to scout the areas ahead of the party i was with and was able to tell them of the dagers that lay ahead, i'm so useful.

I had an interesting discussion with another human today, she believed that she was justified for having an ox slave to carry her belongings around because it wold secure a future for fututre oxen, she didn't see that aslong as there were humans, or elves, or dwarves or any other race of humanoid living there would be no future for these poor oxen. I'm so ashamed of my race after that talk, i spend most of my time as a bird or a cheetah, atleast looking different from a human gives me comfort.

I looked into the faith of Katia today, she seems like the perfect god to give me guidance on bettering my shifting abilities, i am going to follow her now.

I hear more and more accounts of humans, elves, any race with a superior greed killing animals, for the skins these days. Every time i hear of an account i become more and more ashamed of myself for being one of these .....things. I hide often now, taking the form of a bird, a bear, a cat, anything to rid me of the greed that comes with the shell of a human.

I borrowed a branch from a tree today, with it's permission ofcourse, now i can do away with the metals i took from my family so long ago, this branch should be able to keep me alive long enough in a fight....i hope.

I have come to terms with the fact that animals must die in order to use their skins or meat to help with these greedy races' survival....i still don't like the whole trade but i'm putting up with it if only to make myself sound less.....naive.

I have found a favoured shape when i'm not in battle or precaurious situations now....the wolf, it seems to be the preffered animal amongst many of the other adventurers around here. Since i've been in a wolf shape for so long i've taken to.....marking my territory around town, yes that right, that funny smell on the wooden platform across from the smithy....it's my territory as a wolf now.

I had a little jaunt into Storans Crypt today with a few others.....very unfriendly man storan must have been, he sent wave after wave of undead to us after finally meeting us in person...i wont tell you the outcome, you can ask another on the venture.

It's been a while now.. my shifting ability continues to amaze those that see me. I cant seem to handle shaping into anything other than an animal however... more training should sort that out hopefully
