A Goblin's Tale by Srak

Me so happy to finally learn how to write in the common.  Wishes me could have learns this earlier, but me not really have the times to.  Me hopes others understands Srak's writing well.  Ok now to stories.

Me make first visit to Hurm yesterday with Leolaka.  He trying to find a friend of his named Defron or something.  Me thinks me knows him but can't remembers if me does or not.  Hurm very nice place indeed.  Countryside is very beautiful like Ranewin and this other girl me saws yesterday but me not learn her name.  Me hear somebody say it Caeli or something.  But she not nice to Srak like Ranewin so me not talk to her.  Me and Leolaka explore outside of Hurm and find many not nice elves, dwarves, and humans.  We fights them and kills them but one of the humans kills Leolaka very easy.  Me was very scared to see Leolaka hurt, so me ran away.  Big human chase Srak and throws fire at him, but Srak get away with no hurts.  Srak very lucky me thinks.  Srak scared and not want to explore outside Hurm anymore so me go to Pirate Inn and get drink and go to sleep for night.  This all happen yesterday.  Ok.  Me write about today now.

Today me take boat back from Hurm.  It long trip and me not like water much.  Me only swim a little bit as little goblin.  Ok.  Me arrive in Leilon or something and walk back to Hlint.  Me looking for Leolaka again because he very nice friend of Srak.  Me look all over Mistone and finally find him in Broken Forest.  He being attacked by Shadow creature so Srak help him and his new friend Sen.  Me join group and the three of us explore Broken Forest and fights against more of those ugly guys who got out of crypts.  Why they in Forest?  Me not understand.  Me go to bar if I get out of crypt, but that just me.

Leolaka tell me that we do thing called Leomyl.  It mean Leo Run in elvish.  It patrol of certain area to make sure the enemies not get out of hand.  Mighty Arcane Master Ashall join little group to make us 4 now.  We go first to Far Reach Forest.  This is favorite forest of me brother Rog.  Where is Rog?  Me not see him in few days, me get worried about him.  Anyway.  Far Reach Forest seem to hurt Sen too much.  He die.  Srak sad.  We goes back to Fort Hope for rest.  Sen look wierd but he come back to Fort Hope too.  Leolaka says he need to study magic and Ashall fall asleep.  Me try to wake him but me thinks he meditating.  Anyway.  Me and Sen try to go back to Far Reach Forest so he can pray at place he die.

Me come up with good plan.  We decides to sneaks into forest.  Me lends Sen his Cloak of Panther to helps him hides, but ugly goat men see Sen and we runs away.  We rests and trys again, but ugly goat mens sees him again.  This plan on not work well for Sen but always work for Srak.  This is plan Srak always uses.  Ok.  So me rest now.

Wow it been quite some time since me write in the journal.  Today me find myself in new places.  Me meet up with Roxx, Aries, and Ashall to explore the woods known as Dire Woods.  Me think me can walk through place blindfolded now because together we slayed many of the undeads that inhabited the forest.

Srak figuring out that he not fight that well against the undeads and the undeads seems to be almost everywheres.  So Srak thinks he will start focusing more on learning different fighting tactics and become more of a warrior like brother Rog.  Me will still practice sneaking, because that is what Srak does best, but me will also focus on the one on one combats.  Me would not have as many problems if Srak knew how to hide when peoples looking at him.  That maybe a skill he learn at another time.

After me explore Dire Woods for the day, me find Kloss, Tatchien, and this lady who call herself Ferrit on Rilara.  Me hear tales of gold in a cave next to a statue of minotaur so we decides to explore.  Kloss gets many pieces of golds and me very proud of him.  We goes outside to rest and while we resting the reinforcements must have came.  When we go back downstairs we find many many half orc fighters waiting to ambush us.  They kill the bear of Kloss quickly.  Then they kill Kloss.  Tatchien holds them off so me and Ferrit can runs away.  Brave Tatchien.  He truely a hero worthy of Srak's respect.  Me thinks he wonderful person for helping Srak in this way.  Srak now sad because Tatchien die.  Srak run back to Point Harbor for help, but there nobody there.  Me thinks Srak will take a nap and think about what he can do to help Tatchien in the future.  Maybe if me better fighter?  Or maybe if me can hide while peoples are looking at me?  Me not know.  Decisions to make, me will find somebody to train Srak.

Today me trying to become better alchemist.  Me sneak into Blood Desert to find the fire agate.  Me find it and take it back to Hlint.  Me make it to powder.  Very good.  Me try to use it to make Tanning Acids, but me not good.  Me fail many times.  But me make one good one.

Me also find Leolaka today.  We run around Broken Forest and Far Reach Forest slaying enemies of towns.  Mean goat men hurt Srak, but me sneaky and find ways to hit them in Achilles heels.  This make them fall down and then me stab them in throat.  Yes, Srak fighting good.

Me also go with Nim'Sy, Rylok, Drugo, Jab and Leolaka again to explore Dire Woods.  Me not fight very well because undeads do not get hurt by attacks to Achilles heel.  Me going to train to be better fighter one day.  Me find somebody to train him.

Today we also explores Ajari Swamps.  We fights all the way to Troll leader.  He die easy.  Then me find under rubble entrance to old cave.  Leolaka tell me not go down there, but me take look anyway.  Me see nasty creatures down there so me go back out.  Me get good at crawling in and out of rubble.

After making trip to bank me pay Leolaka for Armor of Lion that he makes me.  Me not skilled enough to use yet, but maybe soon.  Me excited to use new armor and maybe somebody teach Srak how to use shield.

Me rest at Fort Velensk next to the camp.  Time to relax.

Oh how exciting today has been!  

Me go with Aries, Roxx, Sen and Nim'Sy to mountains today.  Me not remember which ones though.  We fighting Gnolls.  They big, hairy uglies.  We kill all Gnolls in camp today.  Me using sneaking skills to find leader and stick swords into his gut.  He bleed all over me boots, but it come off easy in water.  After battle me see Gnoll on ground twitching.  Me walk over and jab me sword into this throat.  He make gurgle noise.  Me think others not like that me did it.  Oh well!

Leolaka tells me that he is able to train me as fighter.  We go to Sielwood Forest and me watches Leolaka fight.  When me watch only, me sees new ways to strike.  Maybe me strike better and hit Achilles heel at same time.  Would be wonderful!  Me thinking that me will make good fighter.  Somebody named Cole Norseman leaves note for me and says he will train me to be good fighter.  Me excited, me just hope he not charge Srak lots of gold coins.

Me learning how to become a better alchemist today too.  Leolaka show me all kinds of secrets on making items.  Me have many opportunity to uses them in combat too.  Me throw alchemist fire at undeads in Broken Forest.  It burns them, but not very bad.  Me also use choking powder on ugly goat man in Far Reach Forest and it make him cough so much he throw up.  He not able to fight so me run up and stab him in his stupid goat leg!  He die, me happy.

After attacks from goat men stop me convince Leolaka to explore the darkness nearby.  He not want to because of rumor of a Medusa.  That make me want to go more.  Me and Leolaka sneak under the rocks and find the Medusa.  Me curiousity get the best of me and she hear me sneaking.  She  try to turn me to stone, but me close eyes and run.  Me trip on rock and then she shoots me with two arrows and makes me dead.

Me go to dark place before Kithairien nice enough to return me to Hlint.  It not fun day.  Me talk to peoples and tell them stories of Medusa, but me still scared from death.  Me not want to die anymore.  That brings me to this spot, now me writing in my book.  Me has many things to learn.

So today not very exciting day for Srak.  Me gets up early today and go hunting for beetles.  Me finds that me can make all kinds of things using pieces of beetles.  Me learning new things very quickly and very happy with new abilities.  Me be good alchemist very soon.  Me make wonderful items and maybe begin dream of being merchant.  Me has lots of alchemist fire, choking powder, and acid flasks.  Maybe me starts and sells them soon.  Me go eat at Wild Surge Inn and take break to study recipe cards.

Later in day Aries tell Srak to meet her at Dragon Isles.  Me go and hopes she is there.  Srak finds Aries, Nim'Sy, Menidar, Roxx, Trysk the Lucky, and one other man who name starts with "D", but me can't remember name.  Me teach him how to whistle good like Srak.  We go to caves with Cow Men and together as group we slay them all easily.  Me put new fighting skills that Leolaka show Srak to test and they seeming to work good.  Me make way back to Fort Velensk.  Time to relax outside walls near the tree.
