    Quroe, EX-Mistone guard
    « on: December 13, 2005, 05:00:00 PM »
Entry 1[/U]  After writing that extremely long report of my life so I could resign as a guard of Mistone I realised that If I were to continue with this diary, If I ever want to retire from anything ever again all I’ll have to do is show them this book and also it can help me continue practising my writing and reading skills.  Upon arrival of Hlint I found myself walking past a strange looking bunch. One such fellow, Trysk greeted me and went straight to telling me how horrible my clothes were. What a lovely fellow. Well anyways he offered to give me some clothes at his house so I wearily followed him but it was all well and good, I suppose all those years as a guard would make anyone cautious.   As I arrived back to this bustling trade town these adventurers were giving this giant of a man a mouth off, and he in return offered hollow threats. I told the group of adventurers to go and adventure and I told the man in heavy black armor to follow me. He laughed at first but he still appeared to follow me. I stood near the inn and told him to stop threatening people and that he has to follow the same laws as everyone else. He threatened me, but I was able to quieten him down by saying 'Go sit down somewhere and look pretty'. He growled at me for some strange reason then walked off.   It appears this 'Captain Garent' I’ve heard about doesn't do his job very well and I had to do it for him. As I walked towards the bank this trouble making elf was putting civilian’s lives at risk by throwing things and using the weave to make everything dark. I put him to a stop but he started up again. At this point 'Captain Garent' came by and threatened to lock us all up, and although I obeyed him as he's decision is law in Hlint, he seems to be an angry fellow and I know a few guards who would do the job a far lot better than he can.   I spent the rest of my time running the odd errands for people. I've spent so many years giving errands to others I forgot how tough some of these things are, but luckily I was able to complete them all and in the process I was able to learn how to use the weave more affectively. I have found that many here abuse their knowledge of the weave. Why would they do such a thing of something so marvellous? It appears they need to be taught a bit of discipline.   Well I’ll suppose I’ll go try out that inn, apparently its quite nice. The 'Wild Surge' inn it’s called.

Entry 2  I awoke this morning with one heck of a backache!  The beds in that inn were really uncomfortable. It would have been more comfortable laying on hay. I decided to deliver some packages for this fellow in Hlint, which allowed me to do abit of sight seeing. Luckily my back had sorted itself out before I did that so I was fine.  Today was actually pretty quiet. I wanted to do some sight seeing so I decided it would be fun to see what was through the mountains past Fort Valensk. I ran into that Trysk fellow again. He seems to lack the respect of ever being someone with position and yet he seems to enjoy leading. If only he showed people respect he would have been a great guard, maybe even a captain. I continued to travel along with him and the others, into this cave and through this forest then back to Hlint.   Oh what fun....  As to what I will do now... I think i'll go look around.  Oh and also, I was able to learn of the weave, now being able to use the 3rd circle of the weave it is not long now that I fulfill the old mans wishes although i'm not sure if I really want to go back to my old ways...we'll have to see. I feel things are going to start to get a whole lot harder...

Entry 3[/U]  Well it would appear that life here in Hlint is not as bad as I first thought it would be. It appears that even though Garent is a poor excuse of a guard, people seem to behave themselves. That lad, Leolake who was causing trouble the other day has turned out to be a nice lad. He listens to orders. I also met this ..cleric, well i would assume he was. A man on manors and respect of the law.  My skills with the arcane magic is continueing to improve, although i've not been able to get my head around any spells higher than the 3rd circle so far. More work and experience is needed or so it seems.  I have travelled from hlint, to fort valensk and even further afeild, I even went abroad. To Dregar. That was my first time off of Mistone and yet ...it seemed to be identical to mistone, apart from more brutes seem to roam these lands. Other than that my life has been just as boring as it was as a guard at the fort, except now I meet more people. I never realised how out of shape I am. Some exercise is well needed.
