Bindstones

Hi,

I have a question regarding the bindstones. One of my PC's died and at the bindstone I selected to be taken back to her grave. Everything seemed okay and she battled some undead that had killed her. Then all of a sudden "someone" killed her, but there was nothing near her.

There was no grave there and I was wondering how that option on the gravestone worked.

Basically when you select the option on the bindstone to take you back to your grave, you give up your grave to be teleported to its location. So if you choose that option, your grave will no longer be there.

As for the "someone," were you poisoned?  If an enemy kills you ,for example, via poison, but is not in the same area as you, you will get a "someone kills you message."  It is also possible that your Con buffs expired, and lowered your HP to below 1.

Okay that's possibly what happened because I think either a wraith or shadow fiend (or both) hit me before I killed them.

What kind of poison does a wraith use?

They don't have poison.  They have level drain and life drain.

Then I'm not sure what killed me because the wraith and the shadow fiend were destroyed before my character died.

Maybe an endurance spell ran out.

I wasn't under an endurance spell and I lost over 20 HPs at once. On LORE it says that a skeleton chieftan killed me, but I didn't see one.

Take care in Storan's there are invisible skeleton chieftans lurking there! *winks*

If you were in Storans it's also possible that you were poisoned by a trap, or diseased by something and that lowered your con. Hard to say though.
