Journal of Vilanos Listorian
« on: February 02, 2006, 05:27:22 AM »
I have left the comfort of the Lucinda temple and arrived at in Hlint yesterday, not knowing a soul, but still with high spirit.
After I arrived I have talked to many of the locals and have taken upon me different task to help in the village, which has taken up much of my time.

I have meet a kind soul named Tiden Di'Ren, an interesting Sea elf Druid from the other side of the world with knowledge of healing.
He told me of some recent events, where demons of other foul creatures had attacked Hlint.
The situation is worse than I had expected... and beyond my skills by far...
I have decided to seek out a lucindite mentor in this region to guide me on these matters, and help me find my place to help among the ranks of those that oppose this evil..

There has been given a response to my note regarding a mentor posted in the Wild Surge Inn. A lucindite named Celgar Magnus. I am looking forward to meeting him. I have ordered a new cleric robe by a local tailor, so I look proper when I meet him.

I did some tasks for the locals - delivered a letter, hunted and skinned a rat for a crafter and joined with a warrior named Aerzis Enorion in the search for lost journals, which we recovered.
Relaxed and fished for at while to regain my strength.
Meet Tiden Di'Ren and a friend of his - an elf named Erendur Carnesir. Some what a quiet type.

I have seen a giant walking around town...some what disturbing and peculiar.
He seems to be peaceful enough, and others seem to accept his presence...
but I feel uneasy when he is around and dare not approach him...he looks like he could crush a man with his bare hands....

I have received my new and very fine cleric robe.

Joined with a paladin and ventured into the crypts and fought a lot of the undead creatures below.

I meet a dwarven fighter named Jamekulus Gnald, who agreed to lead me on a mission regarding the goblins lurking near Hlint.
The dwarfs skills with his large axe and bow were quite impressive. These small stout men with hearts of lions know no fear, and he lead me safe through this adventure.

A group was in front of the bank the other day, and as I was concerned that Hlint was under attack, I approached them to find out what was going on.
Theu were planing an expedition in to Sielwood, and they invited me along.
The group was lead by a wizard named Nex Wintergaard and a giant the called 'PIG'. Others in the group were Erendur Carnesir,
Habril So Dalim a wizard, who wishes to become Nex's apprentice, and a dwarwen warrior named Taun Granitmaster.
We fought many different monsters on our travels thoough the woods.
On the other side of the forrest we meet a man named Lyons, who took us back to Hlint after Nex and PIG departed from the group near a southern town.

Did a some gathering and crafting of different sorts.
Has decide to make a protocol for the Lucinda church of findings and where abouts of the different plants and materials.
It will take time, but should be very usefull as I become more skilled at crafting.

Habril So Dalim and I set out for Fort Hope. Our journey took us to Port Llast and Krendor. We where unsudden of the best road to take from there, and on the road when saw Ogres in the distance and decided to hide and go back the way we came.
Perhaps the roads will be safer another day.

I meet with Celgar Magnus. His control over Golems is quite fascinating. He became angry when i called him master, and declared that he likes a more informal relation. He asked me to call him Celgar.
He knows the Queen and spoke of the possibility that I could meet her sometime in the future.

I have made a deal of gathering materials for gold for Kilkenny, a cleric of Xeen. A kind man.
I have been negosiating with others as well about work.
It is hard work, but it helps me improve myself and my equipment for greater tasks in the future.

Jamekulus Gnald helped me to find a lost neckless for a bard, and I helped him gather some copper and tin for his work.

Late afternoon Axier joined us, and they both helped me bring down a brown bear.

I have put up a note for buying a Iron Long Sword, and I have had responses to it.

I meet with Ireth Telrunya, a beautifull woman who has her home in Hlint.
She represents a master weapon smith and sold me a quality sword, it has a great balance.
I am sure it will help me improve my fighting skills.

It has been some time since i wrote in my journal. So much has taken up my time.

Sometimes I seem to loose my self when i do research on crafting. The feeling of creation makes me feel good and in touch with the weave in another way than wielding the divine powers Lucinda has bestowed upon me.

One day I travelled to Krandor to meet Isilme to buy a magical ring. There I meet a chield in  need of help, and together with Geddrin Swifthammer, Laurana Silverleaf and (*Paladin or priest - come*) we ventured into Krandor crypts. Isilme warned us of the crypt but we decided to go in anyway.
A creature emerged in the deeps and was more powerfull than the group. We got out but was weakened for a time by the event as part of each of us where imprisoned in the crypt.
Isilme, Pig, Tiden, Alleina and a couple more agreed to help us and we descended again.
After a fierce battle we were victorius and came back out into the sunlight.
A foul place that I will allways remember.

After a good rest Alleina, Geddrin and I ventured south to deliver different packages for some of the locals of Mistone. The travel went through Fort Hope, Fort Velensk and all the way to Fort Himlad on Rilara. There we battled a huge griffon that attacked us with no warning decending from the sky. It was large enough to have picked up a wagon with it's claws.
We travelled back to Mistone to Port Hampshire and then to Leilon.

I meet a man named Pendar as I was practising the art of crafting molds.
I gave him a few of my molds as he was crafting arrows and I did not need them.
We came to talk and spend hours together. He showed me how to make scroll paper and spoke of the process of scribing scrolls as well. I need to find the ingredients to make ink as well. I hope that I in time will learn how to make scrolls of healing.

Tiden and I helped Tassei in the crypts of Hlint to defeat a creature roaming in its debts.

Some strange creature named Zweck was speaking to Isilme. Zweck has horns and a tail and said he was a tiefling.
I worry that such a creature, some sort of demonic off spring, walks around in Hlint. I shall keep an eye on his actions.

I meet Isilme in East Hlint and decided to join the group (Isilme, Pig, Alleina), who were going into the mines near Fort Haven.
The place were filled with all kind of ore and minerals, but also many ogres that were looking for a fight.

I have heard the price of housing on Mistone. It is very exspensive, but it would be nice to have once own house and place to store ingredients, books and other gear.

I was gathering ingredients for my potions in the crypt in Hlint, when I meet Tiden.
When he removed his cloak, I was quite surprised. His face had changed to that of a beared man.
I know he has abilities as a shapeshifter, and he told me something had went wrong, when he had been practising his skills.
He was unable to revert to his normal appearance. Strange, but so is shapeshifting.
I told him to seek help of a priest of more experience than I, thou I promised to seek information myself in books to help him revert the change. I pray for my friend and believe there is a solution to this problem.

Tiden has found a way..and has become his normal self.

I meet to half-giants in Hlint yesterday.
Han seems nice.
Grote is a bit of a brute, and "not the sharpest knife"
He picked me up an threw me teen yards, when i ws just standing next to him talking to Lucius.
I told him a couple of truths.
We began talking the others also trying to tell him how he should behave, but he wouldn't listen.
Suddenly out of the blue...he swong his fist...and every think turned black...
I woke up with a hurting chin and wounded pride, but kept my tember.
The others were telling him it was wrong..
Afterwards I had a longer talk with him, and he said he was sorry....he is like a book with most of the pages blank..
I tried to talk to him to point him in the right direction and give him some simple goals of becoming a hero.
I helped him on a quests..and he was rewarded...
I hope this may help him on a path to live more in peace with others.
His is strong...as he is very keen on shouting....and would be a good aid in the fight against the hordes of evil...

I travelled with Thrain Ironwind, Xandrian Mor and Atli Eilifr into the Grey Peak Mountains. Thrain the dwarf knew the mountains well and guided us. We fought many ogres but were succesfull on our quest. We even came to Lar, the town at the top of the mountains.

I was in Port Hampshire and speaking to some other adventurer, when a halfling cam up to us, and asked for our help.
Two people who was surpossed to deliver a large amount of pies for a banquet hadden't shown up.
A couple named Andolyn and Gendrew, who was working as cooks for a mage in a tower near Timoshew.
We set out to search for them, and asked around. They had been seen in the morning plucking apples, but noone had seen them later, so we decided to go into the tower to search for clues.
We were attacked by instruments, furniture and books on our way trhough the tower.
We found the man unconcious. When he came trhou he told us of a red imp named Woganpuck, who was enemies of his wife, had attacked them, and made a golem and all things in the tower go crazy.
The imp attacked us with firebreath, but got away as it flew very fast.
We ventured into the kitchen, where we battled the golem and won after a fierce fight.
The woman was held in the kitchen, but survived.
We agreed to go to Port Hampshire and buy pies a the baker, and deliver 50 pies for the banquet and so we did.
The line of halflings at the piebaker was quite long.

We did a good dead and i believe all slept well that night.
