Force of Nature - Path of Hauli
    « on: March 01, 2006, 07:35:46 AM »
The leaves crunched beneath Hauli's feet, the bear walking beside him spoke softly and with a strong voice.

"Your path is foolish Hauli, it is simply impossible." Mojimbo, Hauli's guardian kept in lumberous step.

"Impossible is a limit of the unimaginative...nothing is outside the scope of the Balance and Katia. I thought you knew that." Hauli stooped down to touch the trunk of a tree near the base of the Sielwood witch's house, he ran his hand up the trunk until he reached as high as his hands would go. Mojimbo shook his head in misunderstanding. "I am loyal to you Hauli, and I will protect as best as Katia will allow me, but I cannot advise this. Surely there are other druids that can help you accept your limitations."

Angered at the mention of the word limitations, Hauli turned quickly to the bear but caught himself before he raised his voice. "You have been with me since I can remember Mojim, you know me better then Katia herself..." A snap in the tree branchs stopped Hauli's words cold as a giant spider lept down atop Mojimbo riding him to the ground, as if by instincts Hauli began to transform into a snake. Mojim rolled sides from beneath the spider and lept to all fours roaring furiously.

Hauli waited no seconds as he tried to calm the spider from his snake form, finding no sanction he coiled and lept into the air towards the spider transforming again into a large brown bear in almost exact replica of Mojim. Hauli's new size and girth were more then the spider could resist and it was quickly splattered to the ground beneath him. "And you speak of my limitations?" Hauli growled to Mojim while shaking the spider's goo from his fur coat.

Mojimbo roared and then remained silent walking ahead of Hauli still in bear form towards the Ranger's Vale.
