Edit-Social Issue Views

I'm very curious about the social issue views of Layonara Online players.  Never really manage to figure that out for the three years and two months I have been here

There's probably a good reason for that.
  Many times, discussion of political views ends up turning into a shouting match, especially in text-only online environments. People also may not be comfortable saying "I'm conservative" or "I'm liberal" or whatever out of concern that someone else may start insulting them for their beliefs, making sterotypical accusations based on flawed and/or incomplete perceptions of the various points along the political spectrum.
  The other thing is that folks are here to enjoy themselves, and not get into fights about personal and political philosophies. I can think of a couple of threads over the last several months that have turned into something really ugly because it dealt with real-world religious and political themes.

The terms liberal, moderate and conservate have different meanings in Europa and the US. And socialists are quite different from both liberals and conservatives.

As an aussie I don't even know what you are talking about heh. We have a Liberal Party and a Labor party and some minor ones but idk what they classify as in regards to your system. Myself I live by simple rules really, you leave me alone .... I leave you alone, IF You seek to hurt, harm or otherwise mess with me and mine, THEN we will have a problem.

None of the above.  I'm a Libertarian.  The larger government gets, the more it exists to serve itself.  Then it just steals your guns and pipe and taxes you for breathing.

I'm a "Whatever Chomsky Says" guy - I'm not utterly devoted to him, I just think his clarity of vision is something we are really lacking today.

I already loved his work in computer science and when I read "Hegemony or Survival" and watched a few of his talks, I understand why he's considered, by the very paranoid, a threat to american sovereignty.

If you need to label me in a "ism" or "ist", I'm a chomskist and I follow chomskism.

I work for the government....  Yet I claim to be A-political  (~nonchalant attitude towards politcs in general)  I tend to get extremely bored and frustrated with politics.  Not the topics themselves- they remain interesting- but rather the incessant indecision.  Either pick something, or decide not to pick anything.  But that's why I avoid politics...  when the two sides take too long to decide something, I'd choose for them (probably with a quick game of paper-rock-scissors), offering a swift kick to the jaw of anyone who might think to continue arguing.

Heh, the terms liberal and conservative have very different meanings between states as well. In Boston I seem like a hardcore conservative, but in the south I'd be considered moderate for the most part.
