A small question about housing
« on: April 18, 2006, 03:55:43 AM »
Would it be possible for me to buy a house on west and get it's entrance moved to Spellgard?

You can teleport to Pranzis for 300 gold then buy a housing teleport and you can teleport for free. There is plenty of housing on central.

I am not looking for 'a house' rather an area which could be remodeled and moved to Spellgard. But it doesn't really matter all that much, Storold hasn't even got near enough gold to buy one right now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe there exists a300 goldteleport to Pranzis. You can teleport to other places on Dregar, but not Pranzis.

Ehm...unless things have changed drastically, you can teleport to Pranzis from any housing portal for free

Outside of Morakens there is a teleport for 300gp... Don't remember where it goes though, but I thought it was Pranzis, probably wrong. But housing teleports are free and do go there.

The teleporter outside Moraken's goes to North Point.

Just making sure I understand this if you buy a house you can then have it moved to another area?

No. You can't move a house.

Hmm... Another small question then:
Storold could choose to move to Dregar, but I have some issues
1)All the temples(Lucindas) are on Mistone, or at least the ones I know of(Heard of one but I don't remember where it was at)
2)If he did move to Dregar it should have some IC reason other than just getting a house, maybe some kind of mission he could be sent to do(possible?)
3)He would have to gain a few more levels to become adept to living at the continent but it would also take some time to gather the money
4)If he isn't sent by the church it would be rather irresponsible for him to spend 50000-75000 ona house when he only has donated around 18.000 to the church.

Storold might want to explore the option of renting a room from a faithful Lucindite homeowner as an alternative to buying a house. It sounds like the house is more for storage than primary RP so a room might be a acceptable alternative and it would give him access to a housing portal perhaps for those trips to Dregar.

Depended on what kind of housing I would get. Storold already has access to a portal in Hlint so he has no problems with traveling, as for storage Storold really just need one chest more than the persistent one, the only things Storold needs to store is his old sword and other things that he doesn't really use anymore.
What I would really like for him to have would be a room in Spellgard because that is where he actually 'live'. The only difference is that the one he has in Spellgard doesn't allow him to store anything that I could use as means of rp later on, like fx. showing the blade that he used when he had just started out(After the rust monster incident) or showing someone the armor he wears now when he has gotten a new one.
