Ranger vs weapon master

I'm having an idea for a character.
I know I already have a character, and i enjoy playing him. But I'm having many thoughts about about other characters. And this question is about one of them.
I have a simple question about the class of that character.

Can a Ranger become a Weapon Master???
Everything I read so far doesn't say it is not posible.
But I might have over looked something.

It would be a great help if anyone can give me some solid answers or advise.
both are apriciated. Thanks in advance for your answers.

ps. sorry for any spelling errors.

as long as you meet the demands for a weapon master then why not? it will however be up to you to figure out why a ranger would change and focus on his combat training.

Well, in 3.0 a ranger is focusing on combat training.  Not that I'm saying that there isn't a significant difference between the two paths, just that, a ranger has been focusing on combat training, going weapon master would just be shifting the focus almost entirely away from "rangerly" things and completely onto combat perfection.

weapon master has a huge feat requirement, so it's hard to get to anytime soon as a ranger, but it's certainly possible and even plausible
