Stacking of resistances

I am trying to get a definitive answer on the stacking of elemental resistances.  As I understand it there are three types of resistance (racial, crafted, and resist energy feat) for each of the 5 different elements (fire, cold, acid, elec, sonic).  So my question is do these all stack.  Supose I have an asimaar character who gets a level 1 acid resistance and chooses resist energy (acid) as a feat.  Will he have 15 points of acid resistance or 10 points.  I read in Lore that the feat resistance stacks with the crafted ones.  So, he should have at least 10.  I just want to know if the racial also stacks.  Thanks.

Correct me some1 if Im wrong.. but item and racial stack.. but only One item.. i.e if you wear a ring of acid res 10 and a belt acid res 10.. u still only have 10.

The highest racial resistance stack, and your highest item resistance stack. So if you took Epic resistance 2 times to get 20/- fire resist, it would stack with your 5/- fire belt, to get a total of 25/-. Just an example.

But... What if:

1. 5/- racial (Aasimar)
2. 10/- item (belt)
3. 20/- feat (2x Epic Resistance)

Do you get 35/- (1 + 2 + 3) or 30/- (2 + 3)?

Resists shouldn't stack, the exception are the epic feats.

The normal feats resistance as far as I know also stacks with item resistance.

I've always known that resists don't stack, besides the epic feats. Which makes the non-epic resistance feat redundant.
