-Background (pretty much what was in my chracter approval thread, a few changes)       Amnas' mother was a commoner and his father a devout follower of Aeridin, so he grew up learning the teachinga of Aeridin, his father hoping he too would become a devoted follower of the Lifegiver. Amnas believed in full almost all the teachings of Aeridin, and had his heart set on becoming one of his followers, until he realised that whilst the teachings of Aeridin were great, so must be the teachings of other deities. So, against the will of both his mother and father, he set out on a journey, not having a particular path, but always seeking the teachings of others and of other deities.
     He does not follow any particular god, and is instead guided by his own morals, but having traveled an extremely long time, visiting many of the churches of other gods, as well as visiting vast libraries containing information on them, he still believes in the teachings of Aeridin, from his childhood, but the teachings of Rofirein and Toran also play a significant part in his life. He has learnt of the many dangers both in his travels, and through his studies, and so now begins his combat training, choosing to train unarmed so that he does not need to lug armor or weapons around with him.
    Whilst on his quest for higher learning, he happened to chance upon a manuscript containing teachings written in a celestial language, and through years of studying the few pages, has picked up on the meaning of a few of the basic words and phrases found within it, enthralled by his findings, he now seeks someone who can further his understanding of the language.

-Entry 1

It seems I have been summoned here by a dragon... I have read about them in lore books, but never did I think I would ever meet one! It seems he has been summoning many adventurers. I happened to meet another elf whilst I was there.

-Entry 2
  I seem to have arrived in a town called Hlint, I woke up in the middle of a rose bush... last I remember I had been getting on a boat, yet, I remember vividly meeting one of the great dragons, perhaps it was just a dream. After tidying myself up I decided to wander around the town a bit, I picked up a rose from the bush which I found myself in. I think I shall head to the nearest tavern and get a good meal. There is a well nearby also, it'd probably be best if I fill up my canteen, hopefully the water is safe to drink.

-Entry 3
  As I left the tavern I stayed the night in, I believe I met the elf I saw in my dream, perhaps it wasn't a dream after all... anywho, he goes by the name Gel'larian, I didn't catch his last name. We went off with a group of adventurers into a nearby cave, infested by goblins! We were led by a person named Tyrian, although once we got into the cave, a man named 'Steele' took over, I wouldn't have known his name were it not for the bard in our company, who seemed to refer to himself in the third person, and always as 'The Buck'. We cleared out all the goblins we found, although undoubtedly there were more hiding in the corners. We also managed to find the goblin leader and slay him, 'The Buck' took his head of somewhere... I hardly doubt it'll be the last time I see any goblins though, according to a dwarf I saw earlier, the goblins make a new leader every new moon, not surprising, as I would guess they don't last too long. I wonder how the goblins choose their leaders, perhaps the use a democratic approach, or perhaps it's simply the biggest and toughest goblin that becomes leader...

-Entry 4
  As the day draws to end, I head back to the inn, I have put a notice up, as I still am in need of someone to teach me of the celestial language, this place seems to draw many different persons, so I am hopeful that someone shall leave a message for me. I shall have to check back tomorrow, I've also said that they could leave a message for me with the innkeeper, he seems to be a rather cheery fellow, and his meals are extremely good.

-Entry 5
  I checked where I left my notice yesterday, but it seems that either no-one is interested in teaching, or unlike my earlier beliefs, there are none who speak the tongue of the celestials. I talked to the innkeeper as well, no-one has left a message with him, perhaps someone will take notice of it in the next couple of days, although I fear I have set my hopes too high.

-Entry 6
  I have agreed to do a few small jobs for the people of Hlint, nothing too special, delivering some letters, getting a few furs, although I do have to get the ears of some goblins west of here, I guess that means the goblins are back.

-Entry 7
  I've gotten four goblin ears, I still need one more though, I am supposed to take them back to the quartermaster one I'm done. I've also delivered the letter for the postmast, to a person called Systrian, she didn't seem too pleased to see me, but I got a few gold pieces for it anyway, now the postmaster wants me to deliver another letter, to some person I don't know in a town I've never hear of, all I can remember is that it begins in an 'R', although hopefully the name of the town will be written on the letter.

-Entry 8
  I've gone back to the goblin infested hills west of town, and had a look for some more goblins, so that I could get the one remaining ear, unfortunately, I found more than one goblin, I found three, rather tough ones too, and whilst I would not normally say this, I doubt I would be writing this were it not for a drow elf that came along and helped out, his name was Morgerai, he did not have a last name, whilst I would not normally associate myself with drow, I could not refute the fact that he was obviously not like his kin, if we was willing to help one of his cousins. He had a fiery hound aswell... I did not find myself too frightened by it though, as I have read much on such creatures, and knew most of those creatures would not be hostile towards other if they were here, he also assured me it had been trained properly. I took the ears back to the quartermaster in town, and was rewarded for my work, the quartermaster seemed to think that would take care of them, but I doubt that'll be the case, there are bound to be more of them, they multiply nothing I've ever seen!

-Entry 9  
  Earlier on today I agreed to help an accountant named Flora from the court house in retrieveing a book containing information on her tax collection duties, what she called a 'rat-man' living underneath the city had possession of it, how such a creature would have come into possession of it I do not know. I used the entrance just east of the courthouse to get into the sewers, I went in an anti-clockwise decision, as the sewers seemed to go in a loop, I soon found I had my own wee following, of rats that is, I counted at least eight behind me, they were not too much of a bother though, and I soon dispatched of them. I eventually found a room which seemed to be in the middle of the 'loop', in hindsight, it probably would've been faster to go in a clockwise direction, as the entrance to the sewers was at the northern end of the room, and the entrance to the room was at the eastern end of the loop, I shall have to remember that for next time. I spied a door at the northern end of the room and started to head towards it, of course, that wasn't going to happen so easily, about three rats jumped on me and started clawing and biting at my legs, as I dispatched of the last one, a fellow adventurer walked in behind me, as did another rat... I would later find out his name was Bando, turns out he had also been asked to try and retrieve the tax book, so we set out together, down even deeper into the sewers. The room we came into was infested with rats, they were everywhere! We set about hacking our way through them, and in the last room, we saw what could only have been the 'rat-man', and he did not seem to be too pleased to see us, and attacked us straight away, we had no choice but to fight back, he obviously wasn't going to hand the book over. After we disposed of him, we went about searching his remains, although whilst the was no doubt he was infact a 'rat-man', he did not have the book we were searching for. We came to the conclusion that there must have been more than one, and that the one we were looking for was either not there or had hidden. So we decided we would wait, and, of course, we were constantly attacked by rats, not too pleasant. As we were waiting, the drow named Morgerai I had met earlier came along, also searching for the tax book, unluckily for the rats, his hound came along also, and scorched all the rats to cinder. Bando got tired of waiting for the 'rat-man' and left, understandable though, as we didn't even know whether it existed. We eventually got bored of waiting, and after many futile attempts at trying to coax any 'rat-men' out we decided to head back. Of course, then the 'rat-man' showed up, although Morgerai's hound quickly took care of him, it was in fact the right 'rat-man' this time. We took the book we found on his body back to Flora, and she rewarded us each with 200 gold pieces, although she wanted us to keep quiet about it.

-Entry 10
  After our excursion into the sewers, both I and Morgeria ran into a fellow named Thomas Stormsinger, who decided to accompany us on getting something called a 'lesser darksoul' for a person known as the 'Undertaker'. Apparently it can be found in the crypts here, although, the crypts are also filled with animated dead, which would explain why the person I'm supposed to be getting it for didn't want to get it himself. The trip to the crypts didn't turn out too well though, Morgeria had to go off somewhere so it was just me and Thomas. The first time we went in we happened to get split up, and had to head back up to re-group. The second time we went in to the crypts we made it down quite deep, but were almost defeated by a group of what I believe were ghouls, and had to flee. Perhaps another trip might be in order, but I think a good long rest in the inn would be better. Still no-one seems to have any knowledge of the celestials. Perhaps I should try some other towns, although I think I may stay for a while before going anywhere.

-Entry 11
  As I awoke today, I once again checked the notice I had put up at the inn, still nothing, same result when I talked to the innkeeper. I think I may head to a few other towns, and talk to the locals there. I am now having serious doubts on whether there are any persons knowing the language, I know that the Aasimar race are descendants of celestials, so hopefully some of htem should know of the language. The only problem would be in finding and Aasimar. Once I get back to Hlint I shall put up another notice, this time looking for an Aasimar instead.

-Entry 12
  I travelled west from Hlint, and I have ended up at a place called Fort Llast. It seems to have been rather small, I would not think there are any more than ten people living here, I asked around about any teachers of languages, and whilst they could not offer me any information, they could offer me yet more work, I must admit, the amount that people around here want me to do is rather annoying, yet I can not bring myself to refuse them. I need to get something called the 'Oil of Vukas' for Junita, apparently it's up in the Grey Peak Mountains, wherever they may be, I think I shall leave that till later though. I also need to get some essence for the local magic user, the essence needs to be from a Will O' Wisp, they should be found in the swamps nearby. For some reason the Lieutenant in town needs some weapons for the armory, I can't understand why though, he seems to be the only one capable of using a weapon, and he already has his own.

-Entry 13
  I went south from Fort Llast and found myself in a quiant little town called Krandor. I had a look around, they had a reasonable amount of stores, aswell as an inn, so I stopped by and had a look around, The innkeeper knew most of the people in town, but knew of none that spoke the celestial tongue, although I doubt he knows what it is, anyhow, I've decided to stop asking the locals, as the answer seems to be the same wherever I go. An odd thing happened as I was leaving the weapons store, there happened to be a vine-like creature attacking the locals, so I decided to help out, although I did get whipped rather badly by it, I still have a red mark on my left arm as I write this. A young girl named Nikki lost her grandfathers ashes whilst in the crypts, foolish girl, apparently it was extremely deep down in the crypts too, how could she not know that crypts would contain animated dead, then again, I probably wouldn't have known were it not for my extensive readings, those tainted by dark forces tend to reside in such places, animating those that have been buried there. I've also offered to take a package to the quartermaster back in Hlint next time I'm there.

-Entry 14
  I went west from Krandor, then I went south, and I arrived at a place called Port Hampshire, I had a look around, there was one main building which seemed to have all the merchants and what-not, and a dock, so I thought I might deliver the letter for the postmaster, I found I was not allowed on the boat without some papers, I did not know whether I needed just one set or more, so I bought two, ended up costing me 76 gold, seems rather expensive to me but I guess it's not my vessel. The boat trip didn't take too long, I got off at POint Harbour (I checked the letter before I left, it's to be delivered to Fort Himlad, in Rilara, which is where Point Harbour is), and decided to stop of at the tavern, the Freelancer's it was called, there was a dwarf behind the counter, but he seemed to be in conversation with a group of adventurers, so I thought it best not to intrude, I simply went and filled my canteen up at a nearby fountain.

-Entry 15
  I left Point Harbour and went through a nearby forest, I honestly have no idea where Fort Himlad is, although I found it was a quite a pleasant stroll in the forest, I left the forest and found myself by the bank of a river. There was a tower on the far bank so I decided to stop by and see if I could the occupant was willing to spare a traveller a meal, I went in, it seemed the tower was that of a magic user, as it was filled with a vast array of apparatus' and other contraptions, then again, it may have been home to a gnome. There seemed to be no-one there though, so I thought it best if I left. I continued on my way and found myself at a place called Casterly Castle, it seemed to be rather deserted, there was what seemed to me a dwarven magic user, rather odd... I approached him, but it seems he does not like monks, I don't know how he came to the conclusion that I was a monk though, perhaps I just give off that kind of aura.

  I... am not feeling so well... I can't say I know what's happening right now... I can see an inn... I think I'll go there...

-Entry 17
  I... am feeling better now, I cannot remember writing my last entry... I find myself back in Hlint, I believe I fell foul of a pack of brown bears... I should begin from the start. I left Casterly Castle, and continued wandering, hoping I should find Fort Himlad, I stumbled across a what I first thought was a druids grove, that was, until I saw what could only have been a nymph, I must say, I was completed captivated by her beauty, she went behind a group of thick trees and I was so spellbound that I almost followed her, before I snapped back to my senses, and decided I should not follow, for fear of wasting more time. I saw a bridge that had obviously been broken and decided to head towards it, but found my path blocked by a brown bear, who was obviously not too pleased to be disturbed, I tried to back off, but the bear charged at me anyway, I turned around and tried to escape, but was bowled over, I managed to push the bear off balance, but I didn't count on the other two... next thing I know, I am lying in a bed at the inn in Hlint.

-Entry 18
  I met a person named Tara today, interested on going into the crypts, Morgerai and his hound were out for a stroll and decided to join us. The undead seemed to be particularly frightened of Tara, I think she is a cleric. Anyhow, we had made our way down to the second level of the crypts when we ran into a man named Balazar, Tara obviously knew him, and he decided to accompany us further down. It was rather easy going for the five of us (including the hound), and we made easy work of the undead. At first there were only skeletons in the crypts, but as we progressed there were even more undead, such as animated corpses, more commonly known as zombies, aswell as ghouls. I suppose it's not right to call the ghouls 'animated dead' as they may be animated, but they still have souls, and willingly inflict pain on others, as opposed to skeletons and 'zombies' who are simply the remains of persons brought to life. As we neared the last room, a man named Cymeran neared us, and decided to join us. I later found out that Cymeran was a drow elf, I am surprised at the number of drow in this place, and at the fact that all of those who I have met are friendly. The last room contained a shade aswell as a surprisingly large number of ghouls. The shade left behind a strange liquidy substance, which I scooped up into a small jar. I was told that this was the essence the 'Undertaker' needs. Morgerai had to be off, he seemed to be quite capable of getting himself back to the surface. We continued clearing out the undead, undoubtedly we'll have missed some though. We went back out of the crypts once we were done, in fact, it was less than an hour ago this all happened, I am writing this as I sit in my room at the inn.

-Entry 19
  I met back up with Tara, Cymeran and Balazar and together with a man named Gaibun we decided to go clear out the goblins to the west of here, it seems they have a new leader, and the magon master, ronus, wants its head, seems his caravans are being attacked by goblins. It seemed there was already someone in the caves, an elf I believe, by the name of Dalinal, he was merely looking to collect some salt and bat skins, but decided to join us anyway. It was not too much of a challenge, but it was rather annoying, I got hit by a couple of arrows, but nothing too serious, we took out the leader rather quickly, and after having a quick look to see if there were many more, we decided to leave. Dalinal preferred to stay behind and continue with his salt-collecting. We then went to the nearby campsite, where I write this now, Gaibun has gone back to the inn, meaning again, it is just Balazar, Cymeran, Tara and myself.
