I'm writing this so that Chaotic-Good bards know what they're getting into...

Freldo leveled and got the spell "Summon Creature IV" as his second 4th level spell.
I summon the creature and a floating light pops up - I thought it was a will-o-whisp or the like - but it was a lantern archon (or something like that with only 13 HP)
"Wow," I think, "Must be a lot better than the Summon Creature I spell that summoned a falcon and must have some great attacks".
Heh, I was wrong.
The light's a pretty bad excuse for a summon and I don't think it's not very worthy of a 4th level spell - it took a very long time to knock out a few skeletons and even still, I used my bard song on it. Compared to the standard Summon Creature IV spell in NWN, which would have been a Dire Spider, I'd say the floating light bulb's a pretty bad trade.
Despite all this, I liked it! It'll make a great faux familiar for Freldo (despite being useless in combat), a floating lightbulb that wants to rule the world, at least until he gets to change the spell slot for a more useful one.
