Does Weapon Finesse work with the Katar? Far as I'm concerned a Katar?

Seriously, I don't understand...are Katars a specialized weapon unique to Layonara?

I really want my rogue to use two of them, but only if Weapon Finesse works with it.

Good question

First the Katar is a unique weapon to layonara

Second, Orth or one of the dev team will have to tell you if it's a light weapon.
I belive it qualifies for Weapon Finesse but I can't answer that for sure.

Nope, doesn't work, none of the light Layo custom weapons work with weapon finesse.

Nope.

no custom weapons work with any weapon feats.  There is no way to fix this due to the way bioware implemented the Feat and Base Item Type stuff.

How about make some layo feats that do the same thing as them but for the layo weapons.
