Next to the pear tree in Hlint...

A man suddenly appears, as though he just materialized, covered from head to foot red robes, holding a delicate violin and starts playing.  His style is not uncommon, his notes, however, are.  He starts with the anthem of Dregar but it quickly blends into a tapestry of life. The tapestry of life, embracing all races, ascends to heights of stone and mortar. Pranzis, with it's spires, columns, gardens and trees, it's beauties shared by men, dwarves and elves. Families and children, workers and traders, nobility and free men. The hymn to Pranzis builds and expands to embrace the city as it's mighty walls once did.  Despair and chaos rings out in his song as it's crescendo is reached. From the chaos a theme raises beyond the cacophony, one of hope and glory. Simple and inspiring, a mere imitation of the one heard during the desperate defense, It raises hope and eases the soul, the mind relaxes from fear and doubt.  A foreign note breaks the harmony, the weak enchantment breaks.  And then it ends.  In an instant the man is gone.  Despair and turmoil flood those that hear. Seconds pass and, subdued, the same violin is heard from far away.  The first notes of the anthem of Dregar.  And silence.
