Summoning question
« on: June 28, 2006, 11:27:46 PM »
I'm not sure if I can find this info anywhere, but I just got out of bed and still a little sleepy.
I noticed that When I wanna summon a creature ingame. I can only summon 1 of them at a time. Not counting familiar along.
Is this true or is there an other way to be able to summon like 2 or more heavy tombs or other creatures?

 Thanks for your help.

I think you can have one summons and one familiar simultaneously. Never two summons at once. At least, I've never been able to do it.

And really, why would you want to? If you had two summons, they'd probably be bickering with each other too much to do anything useful for you. "She summoned me first, so I must be his favorite." "No, she summoned me second because she wasn't happy with you!" See? It would just be a mess.  ;)

Hehe yeah, can you imagine Wizards and Sorcerers running around with two Mithril Golems? Pretty insane.

But no, you can only have one summoned creature. You can also have your familiar summoned at the same time, AND if you use Dominate monster, you can have it around under your control too. :)

Oke thanks you all that helps. Oh and you are forgetting something.
if you have a ranger/wizard or Druid/Wizard, you would be able to get a animal companion, a familiar, A summon, and perhaps 2 more with use of dominate monster or that option druids and rangers have to get creatures on there side. if alowed you would have a small army. :D then again they doe have to get along together. ;)

Except that you can only dominate one creature at a time, so you're still limited.

I believe the engine only supports a maximum of three "summons":

(1) Familiar
(1) Summoned
(1) Dominated

Always had an idea of a wolf pack as a druid. Summon one, dominate one, have a wolf as a familiar and polymorph into a wolf yourself. Would be fun :)

:) Had a char approved who would do that kind of thing. Too bad I never get around to him.
