Stuck on the Road to Destiny

Greetings,

Perhaps this happens occasionally and I simply have not experienced it until now, but my character (Darren Dai'Tana) was, upon logging into the server, put on the Road to Destiny for an extended period of time.  Something similar has happened in the past, but I have always almost instantly been transported from the Road to Hlint.  However, this time around, no such transportation occurred: I am still on the Road to Destiny.  Should I speak with the Hero of Hlint and transport to Hlint that way?  If so, what should I do about Darren's inventory?  Sorry if this is a basic question; just want to be sure I am doing the right thing.

Did you try the transition under the archway behind the statue?

Darren is now in Hlint.  I also explained about the statue.
