Prantz ~ The Hungry and Homeless
« on: August 29, 2006, 11:04:00 AM »
*Posted in all Inns, Crafthalls, Taverns, Banks, Pawnshops and Housing Communites written boldly and clearly in common, elven and dwarvish.*   My good people of this land, hear me please. The battle against Blood's armies took quite a toll in many areas. But the one place that hit near to heart and home was Pranzis, now Prantz which is now under new rule.
After the terrible aftermath of that battle, many homes homes were destroyed, people left homeless to face the harsh weather that has been creeping upon us. The city itself showing the burnt rubble still scattered about. With property destroyed, no crops grows so the food sources have dwindled and the hungry wander the streets and alleys.
The city has its hands full changing over to the new administration, buildings converted to suit the new Lord's order, town positions have been emptied and replaced, resources committed to the new lords vision of Prantz . . . leaving so very few if any . . . to help the homeless and hungry.
So, I ask you good folk of this land to open your hearts. Recall what it was like when you first came here with little upon your backs and the support that was given you, think of places like Stone and those rescued from being trapped within the temple, now who have found new homes, think of Roldem and how good people helped to rebuild it, think of the folk of Pranzis, now Prantz, where in the final battle with Blood, the . . . only . . .place . . .that fell . . .
. . . Lost everything. Family members, craftsman and craftswomen, Clothes, furniture, items of sentimental and family value that can never be replaced, thier homes, crops, cattle and farm animals . . . thierindependence . . .
. . . The new lord of this great city is willing to let its populace stay on, but can not at this time help it's citizens . . . but YOU can.
Help me to feed the hungry, help me to put new roofs over the heads of the homeless. Give to those that helped you fight for your freedom against Blood! By giving generously to those in need, they in turn will be able to help you!
So, where can I make my donations you ask? For right now, seek out me, Jilseponie Valhaikor. I am in Hlint sometimes, but wander helping the hungry in Prantz most of my time. Send me a messenger bird, send a letter by Postmaster, send a familiar or companion, see me in person and I will see to it that ALL your donated goods get into the proper hands that help the people of Prantzdirectly.
FOR THE PEOPLE OF PRANTZ!

Clearly the poster has not been to the city recently, has not seen it being rebuilt and the people fed. The streets are clean and compared to the chaos ravaging much of the rest of the world, Pranzis Prantz is relatively well off and the people know it, despite who is in charge...

*A hooded dwarf is seen reading the the postings.  After a few moments he pens his own response in Common and Dwarven, and tacks it below the others*
Lord Broegar is humbled at your desires to aid the peoples of the fair city of Prantz.  While it is true that there was some destruction during an ill-conceived rebellion as well as widespread hunger before Lord Broegar brought order and law back to the city in the wake of the former king's death, rest assured that not a single man, woman or child of any persuasion is wanting for fresh food, clean water or durable shelter.
The city walls have been rebuilt and are stronger than ever.  The people of Prantz are more secure than under the former regime.  Clean, sturdy housing is available to all who need it, built by the capable hands of the finest dwarven builders.
Your offers of aid and assistance are greatly appreciated, though entirely unnecessary.  Lord Broegar suggests that such aid may be better directed to the refugees from Roldem or to the towns and villages in northern Dregar that are not yet under his guiding and supporting hand.
*The parchment is stamped with the official seal of Prantz*
*On a separate parchment, the dwarf writes down two names, then moves silently out the door into the cool night.*

// Just an OOC note here...what you see in-game is not how Prantz truly appears.  It will be updated soon (I hope) but there are many other things in the same update which are delaying its inclusion

*Varka sees Jilseponie Valhaikor putting up the posts and moves to the crafting area of Hlint*
*Waiting and watches the people reading the posts* "He will come" *varka tells himself*

*few days later Varka spots the hooded dwarf and his note. As the dwawrf moves out Varka gets up and follows him around Mistone. First he makes sure non follows him and therefore - actives the gnomish lens* "I have to try this" *Varka tells himself*...

*The dwarf can be seen visitng variosu crafthalls, and inns throughout Mistone, making his way from Lielon and then heading south.  He talks to many of the citizens he meets on the road and in all the cities and towns he visits, sometimes taking notes, at times handing a gold coin to those he meets after their conversation is finished.  In Krandor he meets with a gnome, and they then journey onward to Port Hampshire.*

//Varka, PM me with a time you're available

*Jil walks by and sees the added post by the new Lord of Prantz.  She looks at it in disbelief and shakes her head.  She turns and heads into the kitchen to continue making foodstuffs.*

Miss Jilseponie, see me for some material support. It would be nice for true Law to be seen in Pranzis, not whatever word is the whim of overlords that day.
