sql error when accessing serverstatus

currently as of this posting when accessing the Server Status page, an sql error is thrown.
Software error:

Yawt::DataBase connect('host=localhost;database=danscott_lore;','danscott_lore',...) failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) at /usr/local/src/yawt/tags/yawt_4_40/Yawt.pm line 77

For help, please send mail to the webmaster (webmaster@layonara.com), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.
