*Daeron reads the notice and smirks*

Guess Boergar finally attracted the loons. I wonder how big the bounty on his head will be. And I'm sure the citizens of Pranzis won't mind splitting it amongst them.

*He pays for a packed lunch and leaves the inn*

An elven girl in white clothes stands there and reads the note. With a sigh she murmurs for herself:

Boergar might not be the most loved person on Layonara but the impression I have is that the citizens of Pranzis do like him... kind of...

By killing him, one might find oneself in an even worse situation than before...

She shakes her head and walks away.

*Written in a very neat, flowing hand, and tacked up by a hooded dwarf beneath Bjorn's notice in Port Hanpshire*   Dear Master Irongout Ironguts,   The tone of your note would seem to indicate that you would blindly follow violent vindictivness in favor of reason. These individuals are charged with serious crimes and are presantly safe and sound awaiting a trial in which they will have more then ample chance to prove their innocence.   You on the other hand have, by your own brash behavior, branded yourself as a traitor. An unveiled threat upon our Lord's life and well being shall not be taken lightly.   Current world conditions dictate that while you remain upon Mistone, you will face no harm from Lord Broegar or his vassals.   Know that you will now be watched with the utmost scrutiny by any and all means available upon your heart's first beating after you set foot upon Dregarian soil.  Your every step shall be dogged relentlessly and any misdeeds will meet with the harshest of retributions.  Any attempt made by you, to enter the city gates will result in the immediate and excruciatingly painful death of you and any nearby who are not known citizens of Prantz, whom we would view as co-conspiritors in your no longer clandestine acts of civil disorder.   Finally, know that you have brought this entirely upon yourself, by your own free will.   *The handwriting becomes harder, almost accusatory*  To be blunt sir, do not let your mouth run so fast and far ahead of you that you lose your brain trying to catch up.  *The parchment is stamped with the official seal of Prantz*

*Not only sends back a letter, but has it rescribed and tacked up from town to town with his seal.  Those familiar to Bjorn recognize that he probably hired a decent editor/wordsmith*

Cursed Servant Broegar,

First of all I'd like to congratulate you on your choice of a spokesman.  It takes a real worm on his knees to ever call one as you "Lord" and yet defend your crimes so eloquently, I'm sure his grovelling keeps you warm at night in the sleepless cold of your black, demonic heart.  Furthermore, it delights me to see that you have wisely chosen to stage a bread and circus of a trial now upon the advent of my last posting... it shows I've got your attention.

Know that I fully intend to allow you the chance to stage your trial, without threat of interference.  It amuses me to see one such as you abuse the law like a starving harlot with gold in her eyes, to remain here, an enemy of the state, pretending to be the state.  You are not.  You are, have always been, and forever will be nothing more than Bloodstone's little puppet, concubine of conquest and sweltering pus-slurping maggot on the keister of everything vile in this land.  You are second fiddle to an empty man who thought he was a god and died in a gutter like a dog.  For one such as you to even claim juristiction of Pranzis after the planned assassaination of Waylend by YOUR forces makes me vomit deep down in my gullet a bile not quite unlike what must have been your mother's milk.  In short, your very existence SICKENS me.

You sicken me as a dwarf, as a man, and as a soldier.  You willingly marched under Bloodstone's cursed banner, like so many other mercenary clanless for the promise of gold and power, and yet you lost.  You LOST, Broegar.  The only thing you had left was to seige a dying state and grasp the straws of a dead horse beat into submission.  Tell me then, "My Lord", what juristiction do you claim to hold?  What name at all do you have other than "Bloodstone's 2nd" (and the 4th and WORST one at that) to match that of a king?  You have NONE.

I've fought the war at home and abroad, and I have seen the methods of worms like you.  I buried the corpses of gnome civilians after fighting off the demonic swarms of Bloodstone Legions, YOUR KIN, all because worms like you lived to serve the will of a madman.  Each knight is responsible for the actions of his king.  So while rather than opposing your master in any form, you seized the City of Pranzis and he ubruptly... died.  With no plan left, a lackey without the bully to hide behind, you sat in that throne and pretended to be king.  DO you ACTUALLY have the gall to think that just because you met an early retirement and donned a paper crown on yer head, that it somehow washes your hands of what you did?!

I've got news for you.  The war never ended, not so long as you still walk this earth.  You may have escaped the executioner's block this long, but the day draws short, for a worm such as you.  You go ahead and stage your "trial".   Tis but a small drop in the flood that you have called upon you.
