A neatly scribed letter left on the bulletin board, written in Halfling.

Niccy,
My name is Uilliam SeeksPeace, I'm a Lightfoot from Hlint. And I was wondering if my fellow Halflings would do me the honor of helping organize and attending a party with me here in Hlint. I just think it would be a nice idea for us to get together as a people, regardless of Lightfoot, Ghostwise, or Strongheart, and have a celebration in our own way. So if you'd like to, please get back to me here, so we can set a day and time.
Thanks, Signed..
Uilliam SeeksPeace.

Just say when and I'll be there. I can help you prepare lots of food for it too.

Thorn stops by and reads the neat notice*
Well they probably did not know I could read, but I can, sounds the sort of event I should get into training for! Yes one or two pies before lunch should set me on a true course.

*Gilli returns to check on a flyer of his own, and sees this one*
Wow, I knew there were a lot of halflings coming out of the woodwork in Hlint. I think a party is absolutely necessary!

Acacea wanders by and squints at the notice, seeming to examine it longer than necessary before exclaiming, "An inebriation of halflings, it sounds fabulous!"
At a quiet word from someone else, she checks the posting again and compares it with a note of her own: "Oh. Celebration. ...A celebration of halflings, it sounds fabulous! Inebriation comes with celebrations anyway, so I'm sure it was an excellent example of my brain thinking ahead of my eyes."
She pats herself down before finding some charcoal and scrawling beneath it simply:

*Three small lines of writing in Halfling appear to be burned into bulletin board itself*
Pie and ale, a fiery thought indeed.
Count me and the fireworks in.

*a well-dressed halfing whose face greatly remains hidden beneath the wide brim of a purple hat sporting a white feather casually reads through notices posted in the inn. His eyes stop on this one for a moment and he scans the names of those already signed up as he runs his finger down the list. His finger stops and a smile spreads across what can be seen of his face when he comes to one name in particular. He withdraws his hand to open up a small pouch at his waist and withdraws a wooden quill with a copper nib. The quill is decorated with carvings of long, scaley dragons running up and down it's length. His other hand produces a small, corked bottle that when opened reveals a dark black ink into which he dips the nib ever-so-slightly with a practiced hand. With a flourish of penmanship skills the halfling signs his name in a decorative manner*
Lyle Underroot
*After signing, as he wipes clean his nib and begins to put his writing materials away, he comments to himself. "Jubilation! Ah do so enjoy a good git-tegeth'r. An' wit' mah Blossom there this one's sure te be wunnerful!" The smile never leaves his face as he turns to depart from the inn.*

*Writing in response on the bottom.*
Well I'm glad so many of you share my like of the idea. I was hoping we could put all this together for sometime the week after next, and do more to invite others we know. Also I would ask that each of us bring some dish, or beverage, and freely share amongst each other. And please, by all means, both bard and would be bard alike, bring your instruments and voices to add to the festivities. Thank you.

Greetings fellow Lightfoot, Sally Brambleleaf here, I've been away from Hlint for a long, long while and have lost touch with pretty much everyone I knew, have just got back. It would be my pleasure to meet up with a bunch of sensible-sized people for some decent food and ale, and to reintroduce myself into Hlint society. Would be delighted to meet you all!

I take it this scheduled calender event I've linked to is the same event as the party proposed here in this thread?

If so, Lyle will be there with violin and bow at least part of the day.

Written in Common as a quick scribbled note--apparently the author didn't want to bother checking her spelling in halfling.
Why don't we hold this at the Leilon Arms? Okay, okay, short notice, but it
is
opening again, and the party would have been winding down for awhile (if not passed out in a stupor) by the time we were meeting. Just a thought! Most people know where it is if the location was in question...plus it's already stocked with food and ale for some and juice for Jennara. And I have leftover money. Yes... Okay, you caught me... I'll already be there and it's a dazed walk from the Arms all the way back to Hlint!
