when I was like 5-7 years old, we never had all the computer games I wanted (actually we only got like... warcraft II and Prince of Persia) so I inspired by the gameplay in Prince of Persia draw pages of screens putted enemies, gabs and stuff onto it and then imaged that I ran across the screens and played. (I actually got killed once! else it was pretty easy to make the levels!)
