Haven Under Seige

Dear Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this notice to inform you all of the recent events that have happened within the nearby township of Haven. As some of you may be aware this effects not only Haven, but the mines in which many of you, mine the iron you use to craft your weapons, rings, and armor. As they have also been affected by this threat.
What has befallen the city you may ask? Gnolls. Many Many Gnolls. The very same gnolls that not long ago attacked a caravan of full of weapons on route to Haven and fled deep into the Sielwoods. Many have laid witness to a large and growing encampment there of Gnolls, who at the time took three of our number from us. This is not a joke, this is no laughing matter this is a very real threat and they want us to know they are there.
They are massing their forces and this is to serve as warning of for you all, that the roads near and around Haven, the roads especially leading to Spellgard are not safe. Animals are not safe, and neither are we. Haven is erecting barricades as I write this to try to keep out the invaders but I fear barricades will not be enough if we all don’t stand up to assist.
While we may idly sit by and concern ourselves with trivial concerns things, if we do not band together against this ever present and ever growing threat of Gnolls. They will over run the castle and its townsfolk, as well as cutting us off from a resource that can help us to fight back against them.
It is time now to listen to the words that Melanna speaks, and to instead of taking up arms against the Ogres in the Haven mines, to seek out the assistance of those friendly Ogres who could possibly help us all. Let us all stand together and fight back the evil or separated we will all fall, and the Gnolls will only serve to drive us from our land.
Please listen to the words I speak, I have no ill will towards any of you, but wish to see all of those who I hold dear to be aware of this growing threat.
There are already many that have fallen to the random attacks of the Gnolls. These are not typical Gnolls but by all accounts and recognition, part of something very evil, possibly arcane magic. As Serissa, has suggested possibly the work of druids. If this is the case, who knows what dark magic or deeds they are planning. Kit and the townsfolk have been directly attacked, the slaughter of many animals has been witnessed, and even some of the Haven guards have been killed.
I urge you all not to travel alone along the route to Spellgard. If possible to travel in large parties. You will notice these Gnolls by their unusual markings and their ability to seemingly appear and disappear at will. If you dare to venture on your own, May Aeridin watch you and keep you safe.
Please I urge you all to prepare yourselves for the very real threat that lies ahead.

*puts a note under it*
I killed one of the gnols and climb on one of the high grounds to examine the body, because from a distance they didn't appear to be normal gnols. Thse gnols have markings in their face that extent to their nech and disapear beneath their armor. The markings arcane in origin. The armor those gnols wore, didn't look like the rough leather armors the gnols in that part normally wear.
So better beware of these gnols. They are better prepared and fight in a shoot and run tactice kinda way
sincerely,

Dalan Stoneaxe voiced an idea a couple of days ago. He spoke of doing a patrol of the road to spellguard afore or after going into mines. I wilst be doing so until this threat be dealt with or diminishes.

Tacked thereto
Whilst this does not directly interfere with the business of the Circle, it may prevent customers seeking Mistone's premier Investigator, as such I will apply some consideration to this task, please inform me of any concerted action planned, though it is likely I will have deduced it already.

*walks in and begins perusing the bullitin board, the report of recent activity near haven catchs his eye................he reads the note and the added notes pertaining to this and reachs for a parchment and a small piece of charcoal........and begins to write*
I will redouble my efforts and Torans presence in this are between Haven and Spellgard, I also feel the idea of any mining parties patroling the roads before such as to make use of Havens bounty is most excellent, I will inform any party i hear or accompany to said mines of this, as i feel should all whom are aware and agree with this tactic.

Speaking as one of the members of the group that first presented this problem, I can say we have a solution to this problem. We have no idea how long it will take, but the gnoll threat should be gone soon.

*A small note has been attached under Elohanna's notice*
Miss Elohanna and miss Melanna,
Just let you know, one of those 'Phase gnolls' were encountered by me and mister Freldo, not far from Spellgard. It was likely spying on the traffic between Haven and Spellgard. Strangely approached us without attacking nor speaking...I only managed to spot it with the help of some spells. After a while it turned away and simply disappeared. I don't know if this is a piece of useful information but I surely hope it is.
