Many of the ladies of Layonara are subject to severe bouts of depression. For a long while long ago our very own Wild Surge's Dora was hell bent on wandering out to the outskirts of Krandor and throwing herself to the ogres there in the sugar fields. No amount of coaxing could lead her back, so we staked out a vigil to protect her from them. After several days of pushing back the ogres, she finally collapes from exhaustion and we managed to carry her back to the Wild Surge in order for her to seek professional counseling.

//I remember there was a strange bug before where Dora randomly kept deciding to run out into the ogres, on the server's own volition. Honestly I think that certain sub-routines of the module have become so complex that the spark of sentience may have resulted. Dora's case may have been madness stemming from the same tavern song playing over and over and over, so she attempted to take her own life in such a meaningless existance, not to mention the depression stemming from saying hello to every person who entered the tavern, and rarely even being acknowledged that she existed. Juanita may be attempting suicide as well now, for knowledge that the quest she sends people on have sent more folk to the Soulmother than Fisterion himself. I suspect the next to snap will the the town crier, who provides a valuable service but is reviled (and one time murdered) by those who loiter around Hlint's well. I could be wrong, and this could just be a result of mundane bugs vs. aquirement of Sentience, but knowing Orth's skills at programming, I highly suspect the latter.
