*A note is posted*

Please keep from the town of Hurm

It seam a group of explores went to the Mosscrypts today. They went to cleanse the crypts. They travled deep in to the crypts, to a set of caves. Inside the caves was a dragon, this dragon escaped throw another tunnle. Apon reaching the surface destoryed most of Hurm. Many people died, and were strickened with what looks to be the plugue. The town has been closed down. The doors are sealed untill further notice. We send are healer at once but will take time.

Quantum Windword will not be able to be contacted. He, Ireth, and Elladan refused to leave the sick, and have allowed themself to be sealed off inside the town to try to take care of the plugue victums.

May Toran watch over them and Protect them...

I commend Quantum, Ireth, and Elladan for their work in Hurm.

I myself would have joined this ill-fated expedition but for personal considerations that led me to depart prior to their entering the Mosscrypts.  As one who intended to join the others in this endeavor, I come forward to bear responsibility for this catastrophe and to offer my assistance to Hurm.

My concern is that a number of others have yet to do so.  I shall name them here and I beseech them to join us in helping the people of Hurm: the dualist Angela, and the wizards Daeron, Lin'da, and Rallinda.

With respect and regret,

Ael'Rynth d'lil Maethra

*Jacchri walks up and sees the note and sighs speaking to himself*
That is not good news, I best travel there soon and see if I can aid in any way. On my way I can check if the singing forest is affected as well.
*mutters as he walks away* why did they have to wake sleeping dragons, especially one called The Black Plague*sighs*

*Sa'kura walks up and looks shocked and then saddened*

*whispers to herself* Poor Quantum..trapped in there. Those poor people...Barion and I must do something.

Perhaps some pie..that can cure anything. At least that what the halflings say. *she muses sadly trying to cheer herself alittle*

To all those who would have read of heard the words of Ael'Rynth d'lil Maethra,

In no way have I had any intention to walk away from accepting responsibility for what has happened. The fact that Ael did not even allow us the proper time to break the news ourselves, shows a great lack of character. And I fear that he has used the troubles of Hurm as but an excuse to get even with certain people. I do hope people will recognize the cunningly hidden poison within his words and won't think lesser of us, the people who only had the best intents.

Concerning responsibility, are we really going to put all the blame on a group of people who did this with the best intents in mind? Did we force the Dark Plague to make an example of Hurm, I believe not. It made a conscious descision to not confront us, but to kill innocent women and children. If we do not be careful, Hurm will only be the beginning. Blood is gone and the balance of power is shifting to a new equilibrium. Do not think the dragons will sit idle in this.

As for Hurm, the city itself is off limits now. Do not get near, for you might help further the spreading of the plague. At this point, we should look at the number of refugees and what their needs are. Let Aeridin's finest deal with Hurm and let us focus on the refugees.

Respectfully,

Daeron Stormcloud

*Barion reads the news and mutters to himself*

You realy did it this time Q ...we warned you time and time again to let the dragon sleep....guess those with you in this "cleansing"had more influence then me or Serissa.

*he sighs and ponders a bit*
Hmmm....How does one help a town that is closed down ?Guess its time to go there and see if something can do done .

*he looks to the reactions under the note and shakes his head sadly*

A town in trouble and friends caught in it ....and all some are concerned about is trying to clear their name and trying to avoid responsibility.
I'll see what i can do to help you Quantum...and when you are out i'm going to have your hide....

*Katrien reads the notice and mobilizes a shipment of healing draughts and bless potions to the area*

Now to contact the appropriate people to get these supplies to those that are in need..  *she mutters to herself*

Enough of your in-fighting, enough strife between Dragoncalled! We have strife enough to go 'round without former allies bickering over mistakes and misunderstandings.

Let the bakers, alchemists, and healers among us ply our trades to relieve the suffering of the people of Hurm. This is not a problem only for those "responsible..." There is no one person or group responsible for lending what aid can be lended; let all who can help, help.

And let none point a finger at another to place blame. I would have been there myself had time permitted, as would many others, I am certain.

These times are harsh, but the commonfolk feel it most keenly. Let those who have means to help, help.

Myself, I'm baking Essence of Cure into some pies.

*Maev hears of the disaster from Rhynn*

Ahh, Rhynn, it's both a curse and a blessing that we didn't make it far on our first attempt to clense that cursed place.

*Maev listens to Rhynn's accusations and hears the accusations of others*

Since when is the removal of powerful undead a bad idea? Since when should we leave darkness to lay because we are afraid of unintended results? Seems to me that the only one who deserves curses and our anger is the coward black dragon. What strikes me as strange is that the dragon chose the innocents of that town to unleash his anger. Why Hurm? Why did he fly off in that direction? Many questions to be answered, but first let us heal the wounds of the sick and suffering. Let us hope that the dragon's layer has been cleansed and he has been forced to take his undead loving self away from our cities. He will be found and dealt with, maybe this time wihtout the protection of undead soldiers accumulated over centuries. Victory is seldom neat and orderly, but Toran's light will bring us to the truth.

*Maev kisses her holy symbol*

To the temples my friends, let us gather supplies. First we heal, then we fight. Toran's love will protect us!

*You find Maev sitting on a bench hours after she came stampeding into town bearing news*

Yes, I spoke with Q. He looks very bad, infact after he finished speaking to me, he collapsed. He is sick and I fear we may loose him. Between fits of coughing, this is what he said to me:

The crypts.. It is a dark place that needed light in to it. *grins* Dragon, we did not even see a dragon.. We came out and headed towards Hurm because of the smoke and the people. When we got there we heard Dragons attacked. Yes more then one black dragon... So they can talk all they want blame us all they want I dont care no more.. We are dammed either way. we try to do something good and something bad happens and now we are the bad guys.. I dont care any more maybe Toran should.

And then his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he collapsed. Ireth was there to help him to a row of beds made for the sick. The air *she begins to cry * the air is filled with the smoke of burning corpses.

*She stops crying abruptly and looks at you with cold fury*

Yes, this is the beginning not the end. Debate blame if you wish, but we have tasks to complete.

*She whistles for her horse, mounts and begins riding towards the temple in Llast*

*tacked to the temple in rangers vale*

 Esteemed servants of Aeridin,

I must humbly applaud the actions you have undertaken of the late, zeal and commitment untempered by the living spark of intelligence, driving you to deeds that can only be seen as forthright lunacy. Such devotion to your own extinction can only be seen as a fine thing, perhaps it is a new tenant of the lifegiver, one can only hope.

I have heard of your acts, both those that alienate old allies, causing time old alliances to fracture and fall to pieces, honest sacrifice on your part that was clearly misunderstood by those foolish others. How could any mistake such clear lessons of the lifegiver as torture...the logic eludes me...such folly.

Your recent work at Hurm was a marvel as well, I am told you took fine care of the sick who perhaps would not be sick at all without your acts. Still we are clearly all not busy enough so releasing a plague was an idea that would test your skills and give an otherwise pointless faith something to amuse themselves with. Im sure the fine folk of Hurm agree, they themselves needing to have numbers culled at the hands of inept healers and dragon illness both. Such dedication to principle regardless of cost! The lives lost are a small price to pay for such greater glory of the lifegiver!

So few others act so concisely to invite disaster, with such a flair for graceless acts and ill concieved action! So few seem to possess that spark of desire to cause woes to many, so pure that it cannot be misconstrued as anything else! I applaud you, your work, your zeal and hope that I myself can learn to better serve my lord in the light that you cast yours in. We should truly work more closely seeing as our goals to are so very similar!

My regards and thanks to your faith!

A devoted Corathite

*she arches her brow at the note presented then scans the rest, to the note between Daeron and Varka, she simply smirks, then to the last one she pens on the same parchment* Mistakes can not be blamed on the faith of the one or ones that made them. You are a fool to think otherwise.

*After recently hearing of the Hurm expedition, Michaelis reads the notices posted here and just grits his teeth. His face is mixed between frustration, anger, and worry. He then hastily but elegantly scribbles something down below the note. It seems he's in a hurry for any that had witnessed this.*
  To those for Hurm,
I'm going to keep this simple. The Aeridinites have a cure. Seek them. Ask them, as I shall regarding what is needed to produce this cure on a mass scale to help all inflicted by this cursed plague. If you should meet someone with any sign of the illness, specifically boils upon their skin, take them to the nearest healer at once, but minimize their contact if possible with society. Katrien Hommel has volunteered to accept healing potions and other goods for the people there. Seek her out. If you are skilled with Alchemy, see the healers at the nearest Aeridinite temple. There is little time to lose.
