    The Return of Annie Kova
    « on: November 16, 2006, 01:56:47 PM »
Covered in blood and not remembering what had happened to her, Annie wanders aimlessly in the desert.

"Who am I?" she thought to herself. "Where am I?"

... and thus Annie is back.

After trekking for days, Annie stumbles into a small town. She doesn't know what town it is, or who inhabits it. All she knows is she needed water! Her canteens were empty. Her throat was parched. All Annie could think of is water, and how sweet and rejuvenating it will taste.

Annie struggled to get to the inn.

      "Inn Keeper!!!"

*Annie dropped a bag full of gold and trinkets that she had seized from the desert giants that had tried to attack her*

"Just give me water. All of this is yours if you bring me water."

      'Yes ma'am!!! Right away.'

The Inn Keeper happily stow away the bag and assist Annie to her room. He then brought jugs of water and was shocked at how Annie drenched her face in the water. She just poured it fom her head to her toe. The room looked like it had experienced a mini flood. The Inn Keeper didn't care. That bag of gold was more than enough.

Exhaustion finally took its toll. Annie collapsed onto the bed and fell into a deep slumber.

        Journal Entry

        *scribble in her journal*

It has been years since I've written in this journal again. I have flipped through the past entries to see what I have written. Not much I'm afraid. I don't know what happened but I didn't remember where or who I was. I met this fella in this town called Prantz. It turned out he knew who I was. His name was Quillem or something. He used to travel with me and this dwarf by the name of Gloin. Unfortunately, Gloin has disappeared somewhere too. That's a whole different story and I don't remember all the details.

But thanks to Quillem, and a few travels on my own, I was able to recover my memory. Wow it has been a long time. I remember I used to be so young and vibrant with life. Now, I'm a bit older *cough*. Older is wiser I suppose. Just been drinking daily potions and conoctions to keep up with the younger lads.

But daily though, I have been reduced to digging for sand for a decent pay. *sigh* I'm out there in the hot dessert to dig for sand. Apparently there are a lot of people in need of sand but lack the brute strength to lug them back to town. Somehow I am strong like an ox and well.... it suits me well. It's an honest living I suppose. But the sand sure find its way to where it is MOST irritating.

As of late, I've been wandering the woods and killing a few giants here and there to relearn my ways. I remember I could dance gracefully against these giants. I have seem to forget thus I must get my groove back. Fortunately for me, I haven't forgotten much. It appears I'm very deadly with my twin bastard swords. They seem to respond to me like they were part of my limbs. How fascinating I must say.

        *scratches head*

I guess that's all for now. I will try to update this petty journal of mine. For now, more travels and reacquaint myself again with my traveling friends.

Trip to the Coral Seas of Voltrex

I hate Slavers! I hate Beholders! I hate them all!

          *angrily scribbling*

Damn those slavers! If I ever see them again I will slit their throat for what they did to me. It was supposed to be an easy trip.

          *starts to cry*

My poor body is still trying to recover from the torture. I get these flashbacks now.... That THING... that lizard beast man or whatever he is... I can still hear his hissing. Never again will I be captured and tortured like that. I'd rather die then to fall into enemy's hands!

I can't remember much. I lost consciousness after what they did to me. All I can remember is being carried off the island and awaken on some ship vessel. I think I saw the others that were captured being onboard as well. I guess they came back for us.
I should find a way to thank those that came back onto the island to save us four idiots that were too stubborn to leave when we had our chance.

          *wipes her tears away*

From this day forth, I swear to be better. I'd rather deal the first blow then to regret it later.

            Paying Homage

Well it was a pleasant week. That Berylite Aiden, who was captured with me, were out fishing and digging for clay. Quite peaceful. We also made a pilgrimage to his goddess' temple. He doesn't know it but while he was fishing I sneaked in the temple and made a couple of donation. It's a way for me to repay for all the healings he has been performing on me to help heal my tore up body. I do feel a lot better now.

Also, I've been asking around to see if any others are willing to join my fleet of hired hands.

            *smirk*

Perhaps I can connvince that Aiden to join too. With him by my side, I'm sure we can accomplish a lot. I do know that his goddess has an appetite for flashy gems. Perhaps I can prepare some for him and his goddess as a goodwill gesture. Then I can get his goddess blessings as well.
