Grimnor's Journal of Past and Present
    « on: November 27, 2006, 01:57:54 PM »
Full Name: Grimnor Forgehammer of the Kaladim Clan
    Age: 102
    Class(es): Fighter/Battle Priest of Vorax
    Race: Dwarf
    Subrace:
    Alignment: Lawful Neutral
    Deity: Vorax
    Domains (if cleric): Healing/Animal
    Biography and Description:
Grimnor was only child of a Grandmaster Blacksmith Hearth Forgehammer. Born deep under the Peaks of Voltrex Grimnor followed in his fathers footsteps in the skill of smithing. Grimnor can trace his ancestry back to the Rule of Nature and the creation of the Council of Five. The elves thou fluent in the ways of nature, where some what dum-founded in the way of earthly ores and their molting. Because of this they called for the audience of one well known in the arts of ores. This was none other then Grimnor's Great Grandfather Grimlax. The elves asked for Grimlax's assistance in the teachings of blacksmithing. Once the elves saw the vast knowledge that Grimlax possessed they asked him to become the lead advisor in blacksmithing for the Council of Five.
Thou his clan lived in on Voltrex they were one of the few residents of Voltrex that did reside here before the elves made it a sanctuary of the elves. Grimnor's grandfather's role as an advisor for the elves made it possible for his clan to make lasting binds with the elves. This gave way to a great opportunity of weapons and armour trades with the elves. This lead to Grimnor's high spirited nature for the elves. Growing up with the elves gave Grimnor a better sense of what he wanted to do with his life. He pledged and oath to the Council of Five that he would follow in his grandfathers footsteps and become a Grandmaster Blacksmith. He also vowed to protect the land of Voltrex from any outside influences that would threaten the ways of life on Voltrex.
Grimnor's clan members have always followed the ways of Vorax. Because of this Grimnor took the teachings of Vorax to heart. Thou he keeps a sound body in his skill of smithing he feels void of fulfilling his vows to Vorax. Up to this time in his life he has only spoke the words of bravery and valor. He now longs to walk the path to righteousness. To be given the inter-feeling of what it means to become a Champion.
The time has come that Grimnor has been waiting for. There has been rumors of invasion from across te sea. The time has come for Grimnor to hold true to his oath. He stands on the docks as he watches the ship coming in. The thoughts of what to come start racing through his mind. What is to come.........

Grimnor wakes up in a sweat. *Rubbing his head* He thinks to himself was it a dream or did it really happen? He recalls back on the thoughts in his head. He can remember seeing undead raising from the ground and emerging from the crypts that once held them. He remembers the strong urge raging through him to destroy the filth that now is trying to plague this once peaceful land. He recalls hearing Vorax the all mighty Father of Battle calling him to arms to help smite these foul abominations.

Grimnor adorns his armour with red to shows the flowing blood of battle as Vorax himself does. Thou Vorax also adorns silver on his armour Grimnors clan reserves that right to the honor warriors since Grimnor still has yet to prove himself in battle he has not earned the right to wear this color. Grimnor wields a longsword only because it has been a family and clan tradition and as a right of passage to true following of Vorax that to earn the right to wield an axe the wieldier must forge the Axe himself/herself. Grimnor dreams of the day he has the skill to forge his own axe. He thinks of the joy that will come and the pride he will have in himself.

Todays mes loked high and lows for Pig but he was no where to be found. Tis not like he is an easy fellow to miss. After mes was done adventuring for da day mes went to da forge to hone mes skill in weapons. Mes smacked da anvil for several hours before mes made a finely craft bronze axe worthy of me hands. Now wit more practice mes can make a betters one of Iron hopefully soon.
